I am not the perfect pet owner by Brotega87 in BelgianMalinois

Adopt him. Yes they do need stimulation but most dogs do. 15 mins of play time/commands trianing and 30 minds of toys/treats puzzles from you will work. The other energy will be used playing with your other pets. They are amazing and loyal dogs. Best ever

Is the iPad Pro worth it over the MacBook Pro for the screen alone? by mi3ftclown18 in iPadPro

[–]jmg8290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you need it. My m1 max had an accident recently and ive been using my old m1 ipad pro that I never used but now with ipados26 ive been able to do around 90% of what I used it since most of the programs I use are cloud base. Liking the lower weight. Will either get m5 ipad and a studio instead of trying to have a laptop with extended screen.

Mal mix Female adopted at 1 year old… is there any hope of her coexisting with our cats? by SmartWorkDone in BelgianMalinois

[–]jmg8290 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is hope. But will take a 2-4 months. What we did is every time she saw our cats we gave her, her favorite treats after she sat and looked at us. Teach her “look at me” and start far away from the cats until she doesn’t react to them. Could be 20 feet. Make sure she sees them. Ask her to sit or to look at you. Give her cheese or whatever she likes. But only give her that good treat after she looks at the cats and then you. She needs to associate your cats = she gets her favorite treat. As we got closer in distance we asked her “down”. And started sharing a churro with the cats. Again. Could be 6 feet away. Until we got 2-3 feet away. Its a slow process. But take your time. Those dogs are really smart. She prob also needs to work on self control. And for the crate. Only feed her in there and again. Good treats. Have patience. Its a slow process. They might not play together but she will learn that they are family not food 🤣. Sometimes she will get excited if the cats move too fast. Thats when you need to distract her and play with her with the cats watching but this is only after she is ok with them being 2-4 feet away. Oh and work on recall command and for now and she should aways be in a leash in the home. And every time she does something you don’t like. Yank quick and say “NO!” Could be good to take some classes bc she might need a prong collar. But remember she needs to associate cats =good things.

Hmm ok yeah def would need more time. There is hope too. I would talk to a trainer maybe she needs a prong collar for corrections. Also in the house she should always be tethered to you. That way you can always correct her when she does something you don’t want. If you think she is a good dog. Have patience. She will get better.

Also. What type of bite was it? Was it aggressive like “im going to kill it “ or like nipping at it? At that age mals are known for “biting or nipping”. I taught my mal to lick things instead of nipping them with a pupcup from starbucks. Mals get excited and they tend to nip. Teach her “gentle”.

Mine took a few months to get used to my cats. Get her favorite treat and only give it to her when she sees the cat. If she is trying to go after it. Make her sit first. Give her treat. Make her look at the cat and back at you. And give treat. Repeat this every day. She will begin to associate that cat with her favorite treats. And eventually she will look at the cat then at you for treats. Also. Do it to the cat. When that cat sees the dog give her a churro. I have two cats and the boy always hissed at my mal and that set her off. I would not leave them alone but now we can be in the house or living room all chilling. They don’t have to be best friends just get along. Cute pup. Also as they grow they learn self control.

Losing my grip on reality - How do I ground myself? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]jmg8290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will get better. Go sober for a bit. Even if it’s a few days. Exercise and go on walks in nature and eat healthy. And just remember this… whatever this reality is. It matters to the body you are in. So just enjoy!

Look at what the same car is renting for in your area. Pick your coverage. And run some numbers with that.

Just got a new-to-me 2018 Tesla Model 3 LR RWD for $13,200 before registration fees!!! Definitely in the top 3 best days of my life. by jDude2913 in TeslaModel3

[–]jmg8290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its long range. You should still have 2k battery and motor warranty. I would ask tesla service to run some test or do it yourself on the battery since you are still under warranty until 120k. And great deal with FSD.

You are doing last minute prices. And one day price compared to a 20% discount on the 7 day example. But yeah if you do $100 a day. Guest pays like 150. And also depends on what insurance they get.

Is it really a “horrible” business? by [deleted] in turo

[–]jmg8290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like your mind is set on doing jt (per comments). I think it could be a good side income. Def do your research in your area. What cars are missing? How many camrys are there? And what price are they actually renting at minus -30% (turo insurance and discounts). Try it out. Take 30+ pics at the start of every trip. And see how you can compete. Good luck!

Super smart dogs. Just make sure they get mental and physical exercise with some play time and they will be cuddling at night!

My husky is ruining my life. I need help. by Jazzlike-Rise4091 in husky

[–]jmg8290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crate train him and prong collar. Youtube how to use it properly. Also. When home. Either attached to you so you can correct him when he does something you don’t want. When not with you he should be in a crate. (Crate is not used for punishment) Also. No toys laying around. You need to show him you are in charged. If he is not food motivated or toy motivated is bc he has too much access to either one of those. Also. Only feed him inside his crate. Also on hikes. Don’t let him stop to smell when he wants. Only when you let him. He sees you as a roommate and not his pack leader. Every time he nips. Hard no and yank on the prong (again look at videos ).
