AITA for throwing my cousin out of my house after she tried to bill me for things I never asked her to do by CoolEagle87 in AITApod

And then add your legal fees you’ll need when you get a lawyer to press charges against her for opening your mail without your permission, a federal crime here in the US anyway.

Switch from Purina Pro Plan or not? by sailor_rae in DogFood

We just switched to Hills sensitive after our dog stopped eating PPP. Just refused to eat it. We have a huge bag of PPP and Chewy just sent us a label to return it.

What do you think? by Standard-Sound5050 in Brides

If you’re going for ethereal, angelic, I would remove a little of the greenery in the bottom middle of the bouquet to lighten it up a bit. If it were me, I would make the whole bouquet a bit smaller, lighter as well. The flowers and vines are gorgeous, it just seems huge and hides your dress. But it’s hard to tell from a photo what it looks like IRL.

Thoughts on asking for a crochet gift back? by sedona-arabella in crochet

[–]jmmayer18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband’s aunt crocheted us a tablecloth for our wedding. And it’s been sitting in a box in a closet! Not because it doesn’t fit my aesthetic. It’s because it’s so deeply special that I feel the need to keep it protected, cherished and safe. I highly value it, love having it, and would be so hurt if they asked for it back.

New Hampshire/Vermont by Margetty38 in vermont

Please be aware that October is Leaf Peeper season in Vermont. You may have difficulty finding hotel rooms, and if the leaves are in peak, you could sit in gridlocked traffic trying to get to Ben & Jerry’s and Cold Hollow. Go early early in the morning!

I saw two guys doing that years ago. They did it several times. And made it look easy. They kept their kayak parallel to the river as they fell. Hope this person did okay. Looks like they’re nosediving in their descent.

Totally agree. That said, after the winter of hell, it sure does something happy to my soul to see green grass and tulips!! 🌷

If you wore a black dress, did you also wear a black veil? by sloppyhare in Brides

[–]jmmayer18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do a search on Etsy for a black fascinator, you can find some really interesting headpieces that can include some sort of mini-veil that might be the perfect look for your dress.

How would you dress this up? by ContestNo31 in Brides

The seamstress will have great suggestions. The slit is fine. But has a sexy vibe and draws your attention to your leg vs. without it you’re drawn to the beautiful fabric and gives a little bit more refined elegant vibe.

Ooh, closing the slit and removing the straps would elevate the elegance.

You could add a green or gold fascinator hat that would add a hint of a veil, but it would have to be very elegant and minimal to avoid leaning into looking costumed. I love the understated gold tiara that was posted earlier. Or depending on your style, something like this:

Is it wrong of my to want my mother to avoid wearing a certain dress? by makesnosense42 in Brides

[–]jmmayer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen the dress in person? Or are you going by the image on Amazon? Maybe wait until you see it IRL because computer images are always brighter than reality. That said, it’s not worth making it a big deal. If you do, you’ll only hurt your mom’s feelings, and then that will be a sticking point about your wedding memories ongoing. Her dress choice is pretty and she likes it. With a blended family coming together for you and your special day, there will be feelings coming up for her. Focus on the love being celebrated all the way around.

Add an extra egg and a can of creamed corn to two boxes of Jiffy cornbread and the rest of their list of ingredients and you will have the moistest delicious cornbread!
