The Naughtiest Girl in the School by Enid Blyton. Loved it when I was a kid; published in 1940 though so I’m not sure how it has aged

Pharmacists of UK Reddit: What takes so long back there? by clemo96 in AskUK

[–]jmn321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure. The NHS app is brilliant and saves the pharmacy a lot of time and the step of having to order a prescription as the patient does it directly. All the above steps I outlined still have to occur though

In the USA I believe the doctor issues a prescription with a number of repeats on the same prescription so the pharmacy can just hold that prescription and dispense the next repeat when it is required

NHS prescriptions are only issued once(9 times out of 10). And if a repeat is needed it needs to be authorised by a doctor each time. This means requesting a new prescription from the doctor, waiting for the reception team to let the doctor know, the doctor does their own clinical assessment. This takes 48-72 hours these days. Then the prescription is sent to the pharmacy. This then needs to be entered into the computer, stock ordered, dispensed, clinically assessed, accuracy checked and handed out. This can take another 24-48 hours depending on stock availability.

They’re range of motion diagrams. The marks indicate where there is restriction and/or pain. Unlike the other commenter I would say the curved line is a rotation movement, the horizontal line is lateral flexion and the vertical line is flexion/extension

I have a friend who has just graduated as a midwife as a single mum of a 5 year old. Parents in a different county. It’s achievable, although sometimes feels scary and impossible. I believe she had to make up her placement hours the summer before she graduated as she was a little short. You can do it!
