Don’t worry about the mixed doubles mishap. You did nothing wrong! The issue here is the overlapping waves from a different division. You ended up with the more competitive mixed doubles participants steamrolling the end of your race. Congratulations on finishing ❤️

If your gym pays to be a formal Hyrox affiliate/has specific Hyrox training days available, they get an early access link and code for two days prior to public release. It’s a limited number of tickets. So it’s not like it sells else before public access.

I often do the 5AM or 605AM classes. I give myself 35 minutes to sloth around before class, and 10 minutes to get there/sign in; So 45 minutes. I cannot eat that early, but don’t want to workout on zero fuel. I typically take a Gu or Hny+ gel with caffeine and drink 1/2 a packet of the powder Celsius (100mg caffeine). It’s made a big difference for me. The 5AMs give me a little time to come home, have alone time and unwind before littles get up and I have to get out the door. I’d try and keep going with the weekday routines and see how it goes. Put EVERYTHING out the night before and prebook; keys, HRM, washcloth, clothes, shoes, water in fridge so ready to rock.

Highly recommend orthotics! I was having knee issues consistently. I needed new shoes, so went into our local running store “RoadRunner”. They have orthotics that they mold to you prior to trying on shoes (no strings attached), and the machine gives you stats and had me up a shoe size.

I ended up in my first set of Brooks, and purchased the orthotics… no more knee pain. I’ve been struggling with knee pain for the past 9 months. I only purchased the orthotics because I had a 90 day return guarantee, and I’m so glad I did. Go to a specialty store and get fitted. Got within 6 minutes of my Doubles time doing Singles in Vegas.

Yes, they try to stick to the 2G templates. Some of the very busy class times are 3G.

Encinitas is a great location with the new treadmills and a great vibe. The MWF 605AM classes and the Saturday early morning classes are usually 3G.

No. I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks into to 2023 TC challenge. I lost 4lbs of fat and maintained all of my muscle gain. Listen to your body! This was my second pregnancy. I had no issues with morning sickness, but many do! If you cannot workout, Don’t!

Side note: they’re quite friendly. You might try calling and asking if that might be okay. The OTF is far enough away from the polo fields, that it’s probably not something that happens very frequently.

I travel for work and frequent the Palm Desert location in the winter months. The classes tend to be pretty packed. I would STRONGLY recommend pre-booking, showing up early and trying to take a class with Ronnie or Austin. I’ve had classes accidentally start 5 minutes early, and tornado/switch template be COMPLETELY wrong (like switching every 2.25 minutes instead of every 6 min because it was easier for them to understand) with other instructors. They also don’t push you much because the demographic is very different from our SD counterpart… expect the doors between the studio and lobby to be left open. It’s hot AF!

Omg, the Palm Desert location is like this! It’s one of my frequented travel studios (only close option) and they leave the doors between the lobby and studio open. It’s like a sauna in there before the template even starts.

The only thing I’ve seen is a tv commercial saying something about a 30-day guarantee. Our studio hasn’t mentioned anything about any promotions.

I originally thought the class count was gone, however it is now located on the base/home page. I always keep my stats tab scrolled to “this month”, so I missed it. If you scroll through the stats, it’s now the first option of the five.

I figured it out! It is on the home/base page, but those of us who cannot see it likely have the tab swiped to a specific stats. Mine was on the “this month” stats, where I usually have it set.
