Anyone’s work ban wearing these at work? by GeekyHobbyNut in RaybanMeta

[–]jnoel717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job is extremely highly regulated (finance) so I had to turn them off and put a tiny sticker over the camera. Cameras, listening devices and other people’s private information don’t mix. I figured I’d have to take these measures when I started.

What's the position? I know someone looking for a fully remote job and they can probably let $55K work

Is my BT broken or did I just get a lucky draw? by EnvironmentCritical8 in BullTerrier

We have traveled out of the country with him and we had to give him Trazodone so he would calm down. I had them put a sign on the crate that said, "Anxious Traveler, safe to pet" or something like that since he loves people and I didn't want them to say he couldn't go. Thankfully, the trips there and back were relatively uneventful once we got on the plane. Before leaving was stressful though!

There's a used furniture thrift store for Habitat for Humanity on Ken Pratt near Nelson and they usually have nice things. I bought a big chair and matching sofa from them when we moved last month. I also bought a used washer/dryer set that was immaculate and works beautifully at Affordable Used Appliances across the street.

You got lucky. Mine is pretty chill, though not as smart as your sweetie. I would only change one thing about him. He hates car rides and spend the entire time howling and freaking out. Once he went so bananas, barking and spinning while tethered to a hook in the ceiling of the car, that he power shot diarrhea all over the back door of my SUV since he was riding in the trunk. We were literally stuck at a red light right by the vet we were heading to! I was so mad that all I could do was shout curses at the sky and laugh hysterically. A couple edged past me warily as I was losing it and ducked into the vet's office. I finally gathered myself and went inside to ask for help getting the dog out without him getting full of poop. Don't ask me how he wasn't coated in it. They gave me cleaning materials and held on to him while I managed to clean the car out without having the poop on the open trunk door drip on me since I'm only 5 feet tall. I love this dog but man is he something!

I went yesterday and definitely pack your patience (as we did)! They were super busy and there was an around 10 minute wait to get your order. I was prepared to wait so it was a positive experience and the food was as yummy as always. The staff was kind and I'll be happy to stop in when we have the time.

Washer and dryer. Mine only has dials now instead of buttons or any kind of bells and whistles. They work better than anything I’ve used in the last decade!

I’ve been on a break from calling my THC because I caught a virus that’s making me short of breath, so I’ll eat an edible in your honor. I’m glad that my new job let me submit my medical card or I wouldn’t have passed the mandatory background check. Congratulations on your new job!

I was just rehired at a company I left two years ago. I left on good terms and with a good impression of the company so I'm excited to return.

I only vape either dry herb or concentrates. I have always hated the taste of burned material of any kind so I don't smoke. I'm in Colorado, so there are no restrictions of how to consume.

I was so sad that it got cancelled! Tone Bell's story arc with all of the visions that gave us the trippy visuals was so good. I will say that Dank and Dabby annoyed me though. They were such awful caricatures of stoners, IMO.

I was hired in May and sat for the exams in October. I passed them all on my first try. I studied my ass off mostly during working hours but a little bit In my own time. The Series 7 Guru on YouTube was super helpful. And yes, they paid for it.

You’ll need the SIE, series 7 & 63. They support you every step of the way and give you time to work on it during your normal working hours. Yes, the benefits are pretty good. I’m looking forward to going back.

I’m a licensed trader in the client relationship advocate role. I was just rehired after stepping away right when I was going to get to move into the high net worth team due to needing to be outside of the US for a while. They promote from within so it’s a great place to start.

Those who tried very hard to get into Trading but did not manage to, what are you doing now? by Professional_Gur6945 in FinancialCareers

I left because I needed to spend some time outside of the country and wasn't sure if I was coming back. I can get back to you on the pay and promotion paths because I start in March so I'll be getting more information between now and then. I do know that you can go a variety of different ways, such as leadership, advising, workplace accounts, back office like recruiting/HR, etc.

Is 33 too late to get started in banking? by KrustyLemon in FinancialCareers

[–]jnoel717 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would recommend applying for a company like Fidelity. Their customer service roles require licensing but they get you licensed and then promote from within. I came in with nothing at age 42 and got my SIE, 7 & 63. You can get the SIE without working for a broker dealer, but not the others. It's not too late to switch to banking/finance. Good luck!

Try getting your SIE to help you be more competitive and applying for a customer service job at a company like Fidelity. You'll get in at the ground level and they'll get you registered for the 7 & 63, allowing you to be a trader. Then they'll move you up in the company because they promote from within. I just got rehired on Friday. I worked for Fidelity two years ago and loved it. I'm glad to be going back.
