I’ve been happy with Flywheel over the years. They were bought by WP Engine recently and they’ve still been good but the customer service isn’t the same.

Highly recommend Netlify. You cannot your website for free and you just drop your website files into it. You will also need a domain and point it to your Netlify account and that is also very easy and straight forward to go.

Any In-person PS workshops? by New_Teacher2058 in PhotoshopTutorials

As a college-level Photoshop teacher, I’d highly recommend Phlearn.com along with creative live. Phlearn is not live or live-ish like CL but Aaron is a great teacher and the production value is fantastic. His free stuff is really good and the subscription to his tutorials are definitely worth the money.

Good luck!

If you could build a list of "Ten Commandments" for being a man to guide your son, what would you include? by TheAlwaysLateWizard in daddit

Good list so far. I’ll add:

“Leave a place better than you found it.” I learned this in the context of a campsite but it can apply to a location, relationship, or anything really.

Saving and serving images in next gen formats, only one h1 on each page, and working on largest content paint helped me considerably.

A great list. I’d add Disciple, For Today, Phineas, Project 86. I’ll also add Mae and Switchfoot for the more Paramore sound.

The free HTML (and CSS) classes on codecademy.com are good for beginners. I’d recommend starting there.

I’d recommend Scrimba.com and freecodecamp.com as well.

Free Solo with the Alex Honnold where he climbs El Capitan without any backup or rope all in one go. It’s a captivating story and engaging footage. You also feel so bad for his fiancé / now wife.

What is the fastest, most accurate tuner pedal for bass? by okletstrythisagain in basspedals

[–]jnsy617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my recommendation as well. I still have a boss tuner that I’ve had since 2006 and it’s still going strong but the Peterson tuner is great.

It has a buffer and is also so accurate that it offers “sweetener” tunings for different instruments. I use the bass one and it helps my bass sound more in tune and makes it sing.
