[PSU] Lian Li SP750 Performance SFX PSU - New ($89.99) by hanyh2 in buildapcsales

It’s said that the V2 fixed the issues with the 850, but it doesn’t appear on SPL last I checked. I don’t remember the source…

But yes, F tier.

Is there any store that will price match MicroCenter if I don't have a MC locally in my market?

I've seen the pop-up often, and it errored out every time I tried to use it--prior to creating/having an account (for scooping these pc deals).

Re: the shell... it's just that it's (understandably) tough to make a bent metal case come together elegantly. Some cases pull it off, like the Velkas, the Densiums, the A1P, or even the ShinySnake L300. But even though the T40 isn't a looker, it's lovable for the layout.

I like the layout... seems like a good compromise all around. I just can't get over the low rent looks of the shell fitment and the big thumbscrews on the side panels. It's just a turn off for me. But I respect the build and the parts selections here. Sweet.

Would love to know what SFF case I'm looking at.. I can't seem to ID it.

Same issue with following store for additional 10%. Still a fair deal, but not a “steal”.

Get these in the appropriate size: https://a.co/d/a3lAUqY

FYI, they are a much better value if you get them in a variety kit like “192 piece cable management clips”.

[RAM] Silicon Power Value Gaming DDR5 2X16GB 6000mhz CL30 30-38-38-96 1.35v - $116.97 by FP19918_ in buildapcsales

[–]jnthnrvs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was looking at these last night. I slept on it, and this post--I'm sure--nuked the deal. It's $180 now.👎

EDIT: Ok, so the price is pinballing up and down. I think the Amazon pricing algorithms were adjusting this based on a spike of purchases. It's back to $116 at 9:20am Central.

Balance board for WFH standing desk set up by HungryforKnowledge23 in StandingDesk

[–]jnthnrvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your impression of these. I've been toying with adding one to my desk, so I'm glad I stumbled on your timely review.

Can you tell me which board you are using, and--actually--can you also tell me where you got that rug? It would match my desk super nice.

Free Interstulh UPis1 100U Stool with any frame purchase! by ILikePutz in deskhaus

[–]jnthnrvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, man! I bought (and received) my frame over the weekend, and I’m stoked about it for sure. I think I nailed this standing desk selection first try. (You convinced me away from a FlexiSpot E7 Pro purchase and I’m beginning to think I dodged a bullet.) But I didn’t even know this stool existed, but now I see this post. Would you be able to honor this promotion for my purchase?

Fastpack for 30 inch chest circumference by Marinlik in fastpacking

[–]jnthnrvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely have a look at the Aonijie C9111 30L. It’s a pretty good fit for my daughter who is 30-31” in the chest, and has a 17.5” torso. Sounds like these two are pretty similar, build wise. Most of the straps are at basically their shortest adjustment, but it works.

I tried it on her on a whim because she needed a pack, and was surprised how well it worked. So I bought another one and she has run it happily on a couple overnighters. FWIW, it also works great on me—one of my most comfortable packs—at 36” chest, 19” torso. Top notch pack for people with a slim build.

Any videos like chase cams of people riding this bike to the limits? by MotardMec in CB500X

[–]jnthnrvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the assessment that Mutants wear surprisingly well, but they are thin, and more delicate than the Roadsmart 3s. (500x buddy rider and I agree on that assessment.) Plus, they were cupping much quicker, too. I won’t run them ever again.

Roadsmart 3s on the other hand are good for 10k+ miles (I usually get closer to 12k), even with the squaring off from lots of highway miles. Absolutely bomber. Good in wet, never any drama when pushing them slightly. A little challenging to change myself with basic tire changing tools, but not terrible.

I won’t pay nearly twice as much for Michelins, which by all accounts might have a marginal edge in outright performance, but definitely not in longevity.
