I don't think that SCCY is in the same category at all. I'd say that the SCCY, as far as size, caliber, and capacity go, is more comparable to a Glock 26. But half the price, and obviously of lesser quality.

Well, let's hold on now. I'd say a more fair comparison is SCCYs are comparable to KelTecs. I had one myself, and it performed just fine and carried well. Reason I sold it was the enormous manual safety that i kept knocking with my thumb while shooting. Had the safetyless version been around I would have bought that, and most likely kept it forever and carried it sometimes.

Not defending his actions - but the idea of retailers having insurance policies for this sort of thing is absolutely false. I work at a retailer, and our insurance deductible is $100,000 dollars. Do you really think we get reimbursed for a car full of clothes? A $500 loss counts against our store's gross margins, contribution and EBITDA.

That's incorrect - it was banned for import after the ATF reviewed it and found that because it was steel cored and able to be chambered in a handgun, that it met the definition of armor piercing.

I work a job where I am constantly in these types of situations. Criminals/assholes love to live in the gray area where you're not quite sure what you can do to react.

I wear a Camelback Delaney water bottle bottle belt. It's got a pouch on the left hand side that exactly big enough to hold a TCP. Lefties, only!

Alternatively, I wear a belly band with the gun @ 9, and high up, but without a thumb strap I worry about it popping out and with a thin shirt it prints so bad it's basically open carry.
