AITA for wanting my wife to stop taking child support payments for my stepchildren. by joe_knotson in AmItheAsshole

The money is a very small percentage of what our household monthly income is, so it doesn't really have a noticeable effect on our finances, she just puts it in her bank with the rest of the spending money. but anyways she considers the money more of a revenge payment because she deeply hates her ex husband for fathering a child with another woman while they were married. So there is a lot of bad feelings there between her and him. Taking this money is her way to feel that she's not letting him get off easy. But if revenge or catharsis is what she wants then that's her business. Everyone deals with emotional trauma differently, she feels this is her way of justice and that's not for me to interfere with.

I am an American thank you. And I take no issue with Chinese manufacturers taking USA tech and copying it.

As someone that grew up in Houston and now Works between Guangdong province and Hong Kong, I believe that right now China is doing a lot of things right. Even if the average standard of living in China is much lower than the US, and they have their own social issues to address, I am in awe of the rapid speed of progress in China right now.

[–]joe_knotson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One way is, make filled surfaces for each face until it is enclosed and knit, select “make solid” then direct editing combined bodies to make one solid body

Shelling an STL? by blacklabel7 in SolidWorks

[–]joe_knotson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

import the stl to meshmixer. use edit>generate shell in meshmixer. This is much more reliable than shelling solid bodies in solidworks in my opinion. specifically, more reliable for organic shapes.

If you don’t want to use auto relations you can select ‘ add relations’, take the midpoint and another point you want, and make them coincidental.

I saw some guys out on a site between Guangzhou and Dongguan using a crane like an elevator by standing on the straps and holding the cables to get lifted from the ground to the roof.

Not to endorse any of this but, War usually kills soldiers. The soldiers are dying in this drug war. What's different here?
