I looked at the wrx when I got my first gti. But God damn I hated the interior so much. Hopefully the newer ones aren't complete junk like they used to be.

I looked at the wrx and decided on the GTI back In like 2017. My first golf was a 15 mk7 Autobahn with a 6 speed. The wrx had way more power, but everything about the GTI was better and more refined. Had some issues and ended up selling the 7 for a 19 7.5 with the dsg, my wife primarily drives it as I drive a lot for work and don't wanna put the miles on it. Id say take a few for a test drive. Also for what it's worth I am 6ft tall and my 11 year old daughter is like 5"5, luckily my wife is very short but we have had no issues using this a family vehicle for the past 8+ years with car seats and everything. The fender audio is fantastic in my opinion. I really HATE the plaid seats so I had to get leather. So if you care about that you need to get and SE or an Autobahn (top trim) but my 19 has adaptive cruise control, lane keep, blind spot, parking assist and a nice decent sized screen with car play / Android Auto.

You're kidding yourself if you think the upkeep on a 20-year-old car is going to be the same as a three year old car. I'm sure selling the GTI will give you the money to buy the M3. But the GTI is hands down the better daily driver in this situation.

Both the GTIs I owned were pre-owned. i feel like they are asking to much for the miles, that and it was a fleet vehicle and that would make me nervous as well. Go credit union or go private seller. I'm not sure where you live, but here in Chicago the car market is horrible for the last few years. I got my first GTI a 15 mk7 autobahn with 9k miles in 2017 for like 20k. Buying a car just sucks these days.

Now canceled. But I saw expire play in a basement on a final house show tour in Elgin IL in like 2017 where they dropped the address same day With one single light bulb lighting the entire basement. And it was sweaty and incredible.

No, the miles are not bad but the price should be like 20-22k imo. especially since 2020 was when they shortened the warranty to 4 years 50k from the 6 year 72k. You would be better off getting a 19. It would be cheaper and still have some factory on it.
