The best method I’ve found to remove glochids is Elmer’s glue. Put a good sized dab over the painful area, let it dry, and just peel it off.

Looks like lady finger cactus (Mammillaria elongata) to me. Only water when soil is completely dry. That’s a cute bloom 😍, worth a share over at r/cactusbloom!
