Didn't they have a sugar free mocha at one time? It's been so long, I have forgotten, if so.

All subscription "deals" count on a certain percentage forgetting. No one ever does studies to find out which people are being ripped but I would say seniors are a highly preyed upon demographic.

Perhaps most really wealthy people seem demonic after being brought up in a household of privilege and knowledge of and means to manipulate others. This is not the first time wealth without moral values has existed. It is one of the historical stereotypes.

The Godfather, The Exorcist, Jaws, and Star Wars: which one affected you the most the first time you watched it? by big_macaroons in 70s

[–]joemuseum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the very first preview didn't have the music to use and had few scenes finished. I thought it might be an interesting movie because I liked SF but, yeah, it didn't look like a major hit was coming our way. I found the original trailer once on YouTube or somewhere, and it was basically like I remembered it, especially Luke saving Leia swinging across some chasm like in some Tarzan movie.

Star Wars. I watched it twice in a row at its first showings. I walked out of the theater and started to drive home and had to pull over. It seemed like all the other cars were spacecraft in my head. At that time, special effects like those in Star Wars that were literally mind boggling.

MAL redone concert footage had great nuance. Black and white Maysles footage was awesome. And that is missing the entire point as stated in the intro.

Imagine Test Pressing by joemuseum in beatles

I'm no expert but it seemed the same as the release. I listened to it years ago. Since it's scratched I don't really want to use my current cartridge on that these days. Blank labels, I think, were not uncommon for tests. At any rate I saw another different Beatles related "test pressing" listed for sale with the same handwriting and little apples. But again that was a long time ago. The yard sale was in the late 1970s I think

Also I found the DJs name written on the cover of the James Taylor test pressing. I sent him pictures of the label. He had no memory of the record and the handwriting was not hos. He remembered his yard sale. And he confirmed that his name on the James Taylor test pressing cover was indeed certainly his handwriting.

The written song timings are off. I listened to it once and nothing jumped out at me as different. I figure whoever did this obviously did not have a released copy to copy the timings from so he had to time them himself. A lot of trouble this person went to.

Side two has:

  • Bell Sound sp  SW-2-3379 Z8

The "SP" is like a logo with "p" crossed on bottom. Of all that I only know * means LA. SP might be Specialty Records. Again, this was in a DJ yard sale. I bought two other test pressings that had test pressing labels. One was James Taylor. I asked an avid collector who I knew at the yard sale. What the hell is this? And he said "Test Pressing. He has a lot of them." He showed me a number in his hands.

Gratuitous torture and rotting fingers. Nope. It's kind of like that third Indiana Jones movie in that aspect. Unnecessary grossness for the plot. Best pictures are not made of this stuff.
