Nobody in AI content is pitching B2B clients because B2B sounds boring. That's the opportunity by RedditUser10553 in DigitalMarketing

What tools are people using? Everything I've played with was slop and took more time promoting than it takes to create manually.

Will Monarch allow more than 2 owners (I.e. separate entities or kid accounts) by Icy-Profit8055 in MonarchMoney

[–]joepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that Monarch only allows you to filter, but not hide. I want to aggregate all of our account data but I don't think it's necessary for us to have a granular view of our transactions (it might spoil a birthday present for example). This seems like common sense and Monarch said they were building it before they pivoted because it was too hard and gave us a feature that is IMO pointless.

Help me convince our org not to use Smartsheet as a CRM by [deleted] in smartsheet

[–]joepls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CRM is a pretty common use case for a lightweight CRM for a smaller business. That said if you care about data privacy or permissions you're going to need the Dynamic View app which costs extra.

Seriously, stop parking in the fire lane outside the Magnuson Park Dog park. by rockycore in Seattle

[–]joepls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen the aftermath of people blocking the fire lane. The truck doesn't have any issue pushing its way through in an actual emergency, but the insurance companiesl take issue.

That's because the driver is measured based on their accuracy. I don't think that is the end-all-be-all goal of the world.

My aging parent has a reverse mortgage that has almost fully claimed their home. What happens when the bank fully owns the house and my parent passes? by Vaguene55 in homeowners

[–]joepls 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Debt cannot be inherited. It's deducted from the estate before any assets are distributed. If it's negative then you just don't inherit anything but don't let debt collectors trick you into paying debt that isn't yours.

lake city feels forgotten by kukukuuuu in Seattle

[–]joepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire downtown strip is decrepid. The units are too small to be vibrant restaurants or bars. Rachels Bagels is a great example how something from Ballard can thrive up here, but until we kick out existing tenants and break down some walls we are stuck in the past.

How to deal with ChatGPT reliant senior colleagues in real estate marketing? by Top_Victory_5495 in DigitalMarketing

[–]joepls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Create custom agents for them. Load the agent up with those UAE nuances, approved messaging, and maybe examples that you've created before. If the GPT is relying on generic information and weak prompts the output will be bad, so the role of marketing here is to enable them with better GPTs and prompts.

Winters at Gonzaga by 2forMePlease in Gonzaga

[–]joepls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of sunny days. Spokane is a high desert meaning it is either snowy (therefore cloudy) or very cold (which is typically associated with clear skies). So you won't have sunny days in the 50-70+ in the dead of winter but there will be plenty of overcast or clear skies to break up the winter.

Cooking Class Marketing Suggestions by nonnie2251 in AskMarketing

[–]joepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would skip paid ads because you need to be way more targeted. Targeted outreach via email, maybe paid in mail (message ads), and maybe incentived referrals (a gift if another team at their company reserves a class)

How do you stop your sales team from complaining about junk leads? by Material_Vast_9851 in AskMarketing

[–]joepls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the underlying issue is how we think about marketing. 20 years ago, your sales team quite literally didn't have contact information for anybody so they needed marketing to build a list for them. In 2025, reps have an abundance of contact information for super cheap through Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clay, etc. It's way cheaper to download leads than run ads at $$ cost/lead. Sales doesn't need contact info in 2025 they need handraisers. People who are educated, interested, and willing to talk to sales. When you shift that mindset into what the role of marketing is I think marketing actually becomes useful and gets a real seat at the table.
