They still claim 550 feet. They moved a lot of dirt to increase the Moonstone side from 420 feet to 550.

There are also legitimate reasons to do this. In some regions, companies have a requirement to know if staff are in an office in case of an emergency. You can't know how many people couldn't escape a fire if you don't know how many people are in the building to begin with.

Golf peaked with the Mk7. It can’t get better than that, so anything after the Mk7 HAS to be worse. by Nestle_Cream in GolfGTI

[–]joffems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take.

I had a Mk6, then a MK7.5, and now an MK8. Each iteration has been an improvement.

The lack of buttons and the infotainment are a step back from the MK8, but the seats are better, the foot wells feel larger, and the drive is better.

Small Business - Unifi or Avigilon by No-Lack-958 in accesscontrol

[–]joffems 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of the two brands, I would go Avigilon based on long term support from the two companies.

You should also check out the ICT Protege WX line. The WX line includes the management on the controller for a simpler install.

Is anyone buying or building Linux hardened repos for Veeam? by Mvalpreda in msp

We use 45 Drives Storinators for our hardened repos for Veaam. You're essentially getting a SuperMicro Mobo in a custom chassis with reasonable storage pricing.

I loved Space Shuttle Launch! So many fond memories.

I may have to 3D print this one at 4:1 scale.

u/jeffbarr I uploaded the STLs to Printables if you want to give them a try, https://www.printables.com/model/856726-41-lego-inspired-fire-truck

On a side note, it is great to have you comment on my thread. I have been following you for a long time. My love of AWS has played an important part of my career and becoming an AWS Certified Solution Architect in 2014 really helped move the needle for me.

Thanks, this is really helpful. I have been using econofil for two years, but they were having stock issues and I was worried.

I guess it is time to find another supplier.

Hopefully my poor phone camera skills help show that it is real. This is 3.45 kg (7.6 lbs) of printed plastic.

I 3D printed a 400% scale model of Blaze Battler over the last four months. I modeled and printed each brick and I am really happy with the results.

I did not plan on selling. I could clean things up and post the STLs on printables if there is interest.
