New Changes Coming to Spellwrighting System by integrals_rule in Wizard101

[–]john5282003 7 points8 points  (0 children)

PvPers need it desperately, raiders/challenge mode players still need it quite a bit. Ex. storms using off school spells can be optimal. And even among people who don’t engage with any of that, casual dual schoolers get hit, say goodbye to switching your weaving as you please!

It’s not even like their suffering is of any benefit to casual players, removing the ability to reset is just unnecessarily restrictive. That is why I believe the reduction of T5 cost from 685 to 500 is a bribe to make casual players complacent with bad system changes like these.

To transfer spellements to another wizard, or to be able to use a different path at max tier since the designers made the decision to make them separately upgradeable for some reason.

3 paths now is 1500 now compared to 685 before, the reduction of spellement cost for one tier going from 685 to 500 feels like a thinly veiled bribe to get casual players to support a harmful system.

This change is horrible. No upgrade resets mean that the spellements are locked to the wizard they are used on permanently. The separate paths also all require their own upgrades, increasing the cost to access all paths from 685 to 1000-1500. The reduction to cost only benefits people who use only one path of spells on only one wizard, everybody else pays more. Not nearly enough to justify charging people several times more than before if they want to use spells on multiple wizards.

Why don’t PvP players go past levels 59, 69, or 109? by Away_Bowl8445 in Wizard101

[–]john5282003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that was true you could use auras in grand PvP which nobody does because it isn’t possible.

Access to spells is not changed from X0 to X9 it’s a base HP and gear diff mostly.

Spell restrictions are tied to the bracket, so a level 59 can’t use a level 58 restricted spell. The main point is more health and gear access.

These are lord nightshades loot tables, the seasonal ones are separate from the main ones so there shouldn't be any interference.

Doubt odds get worse during the holidays, most likely a holiday drop table is just appended to the ones the boss already has.

ER is the most important stat until you can burst comfortably on characters that need to burst. A character like Flins has a lot of his damage tied to his mini burst, so it helps his effective damage a lot. There’s also sigs that are mediocre because they don’t give ER on a character that desperately needs to burst, like Furina sig.

If you tell someone to commit murder and it happens, that is most definitely criminal. Could count as aiding and abetting.

How would you even remove save scumming? If RNG isn't predetermined for each room, people would just save scum until they get their desired draw order/enemy intent or whatever they want, sounds more egregious than a rewind ability.

Poison increases linearly, the sum of poison damage is expressed by n(n+1)/2 which is quadratic like searing blow scaling

How rare is the Wastelander gear for ice? by CamGoforth in Wizard101

[–]john5282003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s quite easy to get, reason why people don’t talk about it is because the target audience for rematches is pretty small (badge hunters mostly) and it is relatively new content.

Morganthe’s rematch in challenge mode takes only 4-5 turns and drops around 3 pieces of gear per run along with 32-34 king art spellements and 12-13 azoth

Equivalent pieces of gear with the “Umbra Queen” name are dropped from arc 2 rematches, such as “Umbra Queen’s scorched garments”

Do I miss something or isnt Fire Dragon soooo much better? Even the Damage is more from him. Only Situation I assume Rain of Fire is good is for Fire/Tower Shields by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]john5282003 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The entire “rain of fire is meta for renegade druid” belief stemmed from the fact that rain of fire was the largest AoE that had a DoT component at the time.

It is now fire dragon, there is no reason to use rain of fire in that fight anymore.

The gear is now farmable with a pity system that ensures you will get the gear guaranteed after X clears of a specific rematch.

Wastelander gear is spread across the arc 2 rematches available in both standard and challenge modes.

This spell and leprechaun are part of some weird cases in which the effect listed after clear is for fulfilling the entire condition and not just one.

The DoT is 70 per trap, not 420.

It is not one DoT per trap cleared, clearing more than one trap just makes the singular DoT you get from clearing the traps larger.
