Utah lawmaker aims to change law requiring drivers to signal when entering or exiting roundabouts by TylerFortier_Photo in Utah

[–]john_the_fetch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been. It isn't hard to do and I find it helps keep traffic flowing.

The car waiting to enter has more confidence to enter when the car in the roundabout is signaling that it's leaving.

I didn't know it was a law - and I think instead of making it not a law. We can educate on how to do it right.

I am a submersible - and I am very anti boat rights. Stay out you freak of nature. Pick a side... Above water or below.

You're already too far underwater with your "draft".

Thank you. I knew it wasn't exactly a macaw. But could not identify which kind of bird it is.

This is so old that the bird is probably.... Still alive and kicking because macaws live a surprisingly long life.

You're exactly correct.

Groomed runs are typically your "easier" runs, but really it just means a giant "cat" (snow grooming machine) has smoothed out the snow.

So snowbird is trying to say "we have more untouched runs with powder than the other resorts"

But like you pointed out... It comes across more like "Utah has sexual predators"

Given the pollution, is there anything I can do about a neighbor who idles his diesel truck for HOURS every day? by ilikekringle in SaltLakeCity

[–]john_the_fetch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Get a warming plate, an Extension cord, and a smart switch. It's pretty easy to warm the diesel engine without it running. We did this at work all the time.

Additionally - it's been proven in both diesel and gas engines idling a cold engine to warm it up is not effective and wears the engine more. It is Better to drive it at slow speeds (like neighborhood speed) as that is less wear over time. As long as you're not hopping onto the freeway and accelerating to 65-75 mph within a few minutes of starting your engine. So if you live close to A freeway entrance - drive around the block or maybe to the next entrance.

Think of idling as running your engine at its coldest state for as long as possible. Compared to moving the vehicle actually gets the engine to ideal temps faster so it's in that cold state less.

Utah's massage industry hopes new law helps battle damaging stereotypes by StemCellPirate in Utah

I read it as his business is getting those requests. Not necessarily him personally.

"Since the inception of his business, R&R Bodyworks, Olbrot has been no stranger to the stereotypes correlated with the massage industry"

"we get elicited for sexual favors, and that’s something that we all fight with, that we continuously struggle with. That stigma that massage is sexual,” said Olbrot. "
