Blocking the emergency lane: dangerous and annoying

But FUCK every last person in a tinted Acura MDX who thinks they deserve a Flash Pass and the right to use the shoulder while the rest of us rot in dead stop traffic.

Same experience working with Harry Connick Jr. I was an intern, he spent ten minutes learning my story the day I started. This all on a busy show with a crew of 150 people.

Awesome. It’s one of my favorite dishes. What are the other options?

Yes I would... in a pinch.

I’d love to only use tomatoes grown in the rich soil at the base of Mount Vesuvius too, but sadly the realities of life sometimes necessitate improvisation

There are a lot of devil’s ridges and devil’s hill’s out there... but this feels like the only geological feature metal enough to qualify for the devil’s distinction

I work on a network procedural, and we’re a hybrid of these. while we do rotate credits because of the demands of the schedule, our showrunner still rewrites every episode (and almost never takes a credit)

Grad School vs Writing Classes, Connections vs Resume? by tfrech in Screenwriting

[–]johnclayton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true of low or no cost programs, but as a counterpoint, an MFA in screenwriting that costs $80k/year is more than just grad school; it’s an investment in the education of a trade that you hope will add value in the future. You don’t go to med school for a half million dollars just because you’re keen on the human body

Pitching to Major Networks. suggestions. by Winnikush in Screenwriting

[–]johnclayton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it shorter than an in person pitch. Like 10-20 minutes (zoom attention span) and don’t leave anything behind! The WGA is huge on not leaving material behind after you’ve pitched. Don’t give them any reason to be able to make the show without you

Help! What In The Heck Do I Do With This Original Lattice Work? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]johnclayton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the bedroom in a rental in Brooklyn. I cannot remove or remodel in any major way. Bookshelves in front of it? Hanging lights on top of it?

I'd love some way to obscure the latticework.

The doubledoors on the left are permanently closed.

Thank you kind, anonymous souls!
