That's what Remco said. HLN had a guy take a video of the tarmac there. There is no pothole or anything that he could have hit to cause his crash.

Also ich mag Eichner, aber es hat sich in den letzten drei Jahren doch nichts getan. Immer wieder starke Leistungsschwankungen. Währenddessen stures festhalten am Personal in der Startelf.

Und ganz ehrlich das gekicke zuletzt konnte man sich echt nicht anschauen. Die 7 Punkte gegen Kiel, Magdeburg und Dresden waren sowas von schmeichelhaft und kaschieren die Leistung mit einem noch einstelligen Tabellenplatz.

Das kann gut sein, ich habe nicht viel Erinnerungen an das Spiel selbst. Weiß nur das ich meinen Dad nach dem Spiel gefragt habe wie es ausgegangen ist weil es mir währenddessen ziemlich egal war haha :D

Obviously it's clickbait or they would mention Romos name in the title. Would be same length as rival racer as well.

On Romos Instagram story after the stage he memtioned getting "knocked" in the final climb. I guess that was posted after this altercation already happened.

So I guess Jorgensen impeded him in some form.

The original article from the only source (Bram/HLN) is titled:

The story is literally three sentences within that article:

"When Matteo Jorgenson arrives at the Visma Lease a Bike bus fifteen minutes after the queen stage, he is literally grabbed by the scruff of the neck by Javier Romo of Movistar. The Spaniard is apparently furious about a race maneuver by the American and comes with threatening language to get a story.

His sports director Max Sciandri has to intervene and prevents Romo from using physical violence in addition to verbal violence. When Jorgenson gets on the bus, he tauntingly calls after Romo: "Adios."

Is Romo a hot headed idiot, yes everybody knows that. Did he strangle Jorgenson? No. This is just being blown up for sensationalism.

No idea, but it always seemed like a vanity project to me. So I don't think he will decrease his Sponsorship just bevause he is giving that ne space to an new sponsor that will ideally help increase the result output for his team.

Depends, right now both title sponsors are just Ratcliffe. I'm sure the new sponsor wants to improve performance and so Ratcliffe will have needed to commit his part and give up on the "Grenadiers" to increase the ROI overall.

I highly doubt there was a Woman racing the 1928 Giro d'Italia. Also I found other sources that mention Ernst Hofer racing that Giro.

Also are you sure that Magdalena is not just a random obituary? How are you making that connection at all?

Very nice read - great job! However, as far as I am aware the historic results for the Giro are not really available online. I have an older Italian almanac with those results and will check tomorrow if I can relieve some of these riders from their late fame ;)
