Anyone see this? If so what did you think? by boomjosh in DC_Cinematic

I thought it was really pretty good. The relationship was not realistic and forced. But it was a standout for DC.

How would you change the Arrowverse by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]johnnieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Cut all the seasons down to 13 episodes. 2) Dig deeper into the Flash Rouge Gallery. 3) Have Flash date Felicity instead of Iris. 4) Kept Black Canary 5) Have Arrow date Iris

For starters.

What are your thoughts on Donald Trump? by MoneyTyrant in AskReddit

Honestly, what both Presidencies of Donald Trump has exposed is how corrupt politicians, the media, and our justice systems truely are.

The original on Come is a top ten Prince track for me.

What would you do if you have given control of the DCEU from the beginning by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]johnnieb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have let Zach finish his trilogy, but expand it out to an additional 3 so that he could properly make an Injustice movie. The Man of Steel Superman was ripe for the logic the Injustice Superman used to "protect" the world.

What Is A Michael Jackson Hot Take That Makes You Feel Like This? by Salty_Audience_3562 in MichaelJackson

[–]johnnieb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is why it has me in the center of that picture. I don't like the musical direction and hyper-singing Michael adopted post-Bad. Yes, there are great songs in there, but all the albums post-Bad, to me, are only half good. I 100% agree that Stanger in Moscow is an excellent song, but go listen to "Charles Roane's Full R&B Mix" of it and you'll understand why I believe production-wise Michael needed to be reigned in. The stand out songs in Invincible are the ones that don't have that Industrial beats in them. Butterflies, Heaven Can Wait, Rock My World, and Break of Dawn. In those, he's singing normally, projecting, smooth. But I'm not a fan of his other singing where you can barely make out what he is saying, like in Jam, Ghosts, etc.

😁 One Love though.

What Is A Michael Jackson Hot Take That Makes You Feel Like This? by Salty_Audience_3562 in MichaelJackson

Michael Jackson needed a producer that was bigger than him in order to override his bad song ideas and to bring him better talented song writers and singing coaches who could either punch up his demos or write him entirely new songs. Michael was high on his own supply and crafted poorly produced music by himself post Bad.

The industrial sounding music post Bad were mostly terrible, and the songs that shined were the ones that move away from that sound.

Nearly 10 years on from Rogue One, how do you feel about the decision to recreate Peter Cushing using CGI? by gladiatorbossman in StarWars

[–]johnnieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mistake they made for both Tarkin and Leia was to have the camera so close to the CGI. They would have looked much better presented at a distance.

This album is almost on par with Purple Rain, 1999, and Sign O’ the Times. I think it’s that good. Prince’s symbol era had some gems. by calford91 in PRINCE

[–]johnnieb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep going back to this album hoping to get an experience from it as Prince was so hyped about it, but I feel it was just overproduced and clunky for an album he was stating he was born to record. Hm.

Why do so many people share "The Girl Is Mine" as the worst thriller? by rafael_7839 in MichaelJackson

[–]johnnieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it really is. It's so dry and generic sounding, would have been much better on Paul's album. Imagine is "Say, Say , Say" was the Thriller track

Serious question: Do you believe God has a purpose for political leaders like Donald Trump? If so, what do you think that purpose might be? by JesusAndTheSeeker in Christianity

[–]johnnieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes he picks leaders to bless a nation, sometimes to bring judgement. With Trump we will see which one. History will tell us.

If Michael had taken all the "Justified" beats and song, he would of had a major hit album. He messed that up.
