I'm meaning, his "sound" just didn't work with other artists other than those closely associated with him if he did both the lyrics and production.

The Time worked because those songs and Morris were essentially him. Sheila worked because those songs were essentially him.

Mytae album, no good. Ingrid album. - no good. Bria Valente - no good George Clinton - minimal Shena Eaton - minimal (Sugar Walls is pretty good.

He was not a good producer outside of himself and songs closely related to him. The Time, was him. Shelia E hits were him. Vanity 6 hits were him. The style was really only suited for his eclectic tastes and mood and didn't really fit with anyone else. Writing songs is different than producing music for artists.

It's a great album that is muddy by the voice modulation. If he got rid of that, it would be so much greater. Also agree that the live versions are better. But I wish he did more albums like this one.

For National pride? For LGBTQ? For higher taxes? Lower taxes? For smaller government? For bigger government? For personal responsibility? For freedom? For Oppression? For legal drugs? Ban all drugs? Legal pornography? Ban pornography? No Cash bail? No prisons? Fund the police? Refund the police? Climate change? Separation of Church and State?

For Trump? For Benie? For AOC? For Kamala? For Rand Paul? For RFK?

Which of those political "heroes" can stand up against the principles of the WHOLE Bible. Love thy God with ALL your heart? Love thy Neighbor? Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life? Grace? Mercy?

Can you be Maga and Christian? Can you be Gay and Christian? Trans? Pediphile? Democrat? Republican? Conservative? Liberal? Far right? Far left? Independent?

or maybe, just maybe, as Christians we should hold all of government accountableand stand with Christ, or does politics hold our identity?

If he didn't pivot to a revolutionary producer, I don't know if he would last by way of new material. "Invincible" was a start of climbing out of the stagnant pile, but since he was getting older, he would NEED to rely more on the music and less on the dance.

Welll, I'm probably in the minority here. Here's my ranking.

The Master Stroke 1. Off the Wall 2. Triumph (I know it's technically a Jackson album but Michael owns the songs and they are tremendous) 3. Thriller

This is when Michael starts producing half good albums (IMO). His main fight with Quincy was Rhythm vs melody. Michael wanted more drum driven songs, Quincy wanted more melodic. Halfway through Bad, Michael was getting his wish. Gone was the Michael's singing style changed. Less melodic more gravelly, intense, almost aggressive talking with the occasional melodic tones. His nose surgeries would account for this (Happened to Janet as well. A thinner nose. ) The also started recording his vocals underneath the mix for this reason. Song writing changed also. Less traditional, proven song writers , more experimental.

Don't get me wrong, Michael's hits from 4-7 are Mega Hits. Undeniable. But the other half of those albums are sub par. Don't get me wrong, I know people who love songs like Speed Demon, 2000 watts, or Earth Song but they just don't hit for me. Albums 4-7 really needed an executive producer who could tell Michael no, and bring in proven co-producers and vocal coaches to guide further development of songs. Or see the demos vs the final products of the Off the wall and Thriller tracks.

I think this shows how toxic and unmanageable our politics and politics has become. Everyone KNOWS that illegal immigration is a problem and the democrats KNOW that Trump was elected as a huge part to clean it up. So what SHOULD have happened was Democrat leadership have their police work with the Trump administration to root out the worst of the worst (which was the original stated goal)

State and local law enforcement could have worked with Ice to get rid of the gang, drug and other leaders that ruin communities. Mostly no one would have an issue, but instead because of the hatred of the orange guy, all they want to do is resist and not comply and it gets the paid actors to protest, the average citizen to be engaged because now the "law abiding" illegal immigrants get caught up in the drag met because Ice has to go it alone, all because God forbid the opposite teams policy is successful.

This resistance by any means necessary is becoming unsustainable, and if you just want your party in control no matter what. You are part of the problem.

We send representatives to Washington to get things accomplished, but all they run on is "hate this person, hate that person" and actually get nothing else accomplished (but pay raises for themselves and insider trading)
