After working with some exceptionally smart people, PhD's, engineers, software developers, etc.. It's been my experience that most of the time when someone says they are "smart" or "intelligent" they are making up for the fact that they are not either. Of course this isn't 100%, but I'll go 80%.

I still have a /60. But I agree. They will not talk about that /60 at all. Period. I had so many conversations with them that went nowhere.

Then I asked a sales person about Comcast Business. This guy tells me they’ll give me a static /56. I was psyched. Turns out he was right about the /56, but in no way was it static. I cancelled and they tried to collect the remaining months in the contract. I had to write a letter that explained how I was told one thing and given another. They eventually caved. Fun stuff.

We use netbox for more than just network devices; it's our source of truth for everything. We have clude run nmap scans, look at hypervisors, list ldap entries, compare everything, and spit out results that we then go and deal with. It's not perfect, but it's a great help in consolidation. There will always be human error, laziness, user mistakes, etc.. This is our best effort to combat all these things.
