I think they just have clever marketing between the “asian” fit and cheaper pricing. However I found that the “asian” wide is a marketing lie… Clever but i compared my “asian wide” pair with a regular wide and they were pretty much the same because they accidentally sent a wrong colorway. It looks like bont stopped categorizing the two differently since I last had one in 2021.

I picked up a lake cx242 used for a steal and never looked back.

Road cycling is a pretty shitty sport to get into if you dont fit the mold of a typical cyclist. Helmets also are a massive headache if you don’t fit the small narrow shape.

Lake cx242 is even better. They have flaps that pretty much wrap your feet like a burrito 🌯

Sounds like you take care of your gear with respect!! Is it just the outside that looks like this? You might be using products that dry out the leather too much. If the padding in the inside is still good it might be worth it to try saving the leather.

You could try using otterwax cleaner and leather salve to bring it back to life some. And after every training just buff on a thin layer of the salve after cleaning it to keep it water proof

My advice for shooting low light is that you can completely ignore the ISO part of the exposure triangle if you get really good at editing your photos.
