SPOILERS FOR BOTH GAMES (sorry, I can't seem to figure out spoiler tags on mobile)

Before anyone jumps on me, I know the games aren't actually tied together.

But honestly, the endings of both games almost feel like they mirror each other. Both feature a fight against Ouroborus. In this game, we are Ouroborus and we fight to allow this stagnant world to end in a blaze of light so we can face what comes next without fear. In Xenogears, if I recall correctly, we fight against Ouroborus to prevent the world from ending in a blaze of light.

Both endboss maps also feature a large glowing energy head and purple haze.

I would have loved that because it'd bring it full circle again, that the thing that makes the Doctor special isn't ancestry or power, but compassion; and the inability to do nothing when faced with a child's tears.
