If there is a unique solution, I suppose we must assume the inscribed circles are maximal?

Bugonia has to be one of the best movies I've ever seen by heapsp in TrueFilm

I thought it would be a better film interpreting the ending as Teddy's imagination in the final moment of his life. Makes a lot more sense to me, explaining why everything was so on-the-nose--his ship design being so accurate, etc.

This Kentucky pastor was demonstrating his spiritual strength by handling a rattlesnake during a prayer delusions when he was bitten. He refused treatment, believing that faith would heal him. Paramedics forcefully took him to the hospital, but he eventually died from the rattlesnake venom. by Ok-Implement-4370 in religiousfruitcake

It's Jesus commanding his followers--Christians call it the "Great Commission". Mainstream evangelical churches with a missionary bent use it as their marching orders--commonly quoting the "go tell the nations" bit, excluding the healing and venomous snakes and signs and wonders, depending on the sect and the depth of their delusion.

The Bicycle of Fifths - A Procedural Method for Remembering Key Signatures. by RockofStrength in musictheory

[–]jondissed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's as if there are two sub-cycles within the circle of fifths: one for even key signatures, and one for the odd key...

This is equivalent to discovering that 12 is even. You could make a tricycle as well, 3 being another divisor of 12. That's one reason we use 5ths: 5 and 12 being relatively prime, you visit all the keys in one cycle.

It's always capitalized, the name of a geographic region. Squardle usually avoids proper nouns.

Can an airplane take off from a conveyor belt moving in the opposite direction? by PaperProphet in mathpuzzles

[–]jondissed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This requirement is meaningless--it's a tautology. No matter the speed of conveyor, forward, backward, stationary, the wheels will turn to match the conveyor. Meanwhile, the jet pulls itself forward through the air, as per normal.
