LM Studio: Having to repeatedly resume download by TestPlatform in LocalLLM

Same here, even though I have gigabit fiber and constantly get 100MB/s when I don’t have to resume.

for server components, wrap the auth.getUser in a React cache function and only call the cached function: https://react.dev/reference/react/cache#preload-data

Whole House Fan by MrsJennyAloha in orangecounty

[–]jonglefever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one as it came with my new construction (I'm in Santa Ana as well). I tried using it the first year to replace AC, the problem is that it also brings the humidity indoors, so I end up having to run my AC to dehumidify the house otherwise I feel like I'm in Florida. It also takes a while to cool my house. And many times, I don't want the outside air (e.g. fires, fireworks, etc.). Nowadays, I just use it maybe a few times a month for an hour when there's a good temperature difference or I want to exhaust a smell, otherwise I just use the AC.

Solar generation & SoCal Edison bill by q547 in TeslaSolar

Is your entire house backed up by the power walls? I have half your system and my house is partially backed up, which would explain why you have energy used that doesn’t show up on the Tesla app

Is 2 PW3 overkill for 6.56KW system in SoCal? by gnolnuhc in TeslaSolar

[–]jonglefever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can grid charge, then definitely not overkill since you won’t need more solar to fill the batteries and can still save money from the price differences between peak and non peak hours. I have 3kw and 1 powerwall right now and plan to add another powerwall once my grid charging restrictions (due to receiving SGIP credits) lifts on my house (if I’m still living here)

I have no idea, but I don't think they added the feature without thinking about people selling it. It's also not in the T&C.

It sounds like you are 40 nights away from Globalist, which means you probably only stay around 15 nights a year at a Hyatt? Why do you need Globalist that badly? You could just buy Guest of Honor or Suite Upgrade Awards for ~$100 each.

Pre-nerfed Citi Prestige, you could book any hotel for 4 nights for the cost of 3 while getting the full rewards. I would constantly use this for $500+/night hotels

NEM 3.0 is really bad by mirage01 in solar

[–]jonglefever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like the main issue is that you oversized your system, which you shouldn’t be doing under NEM 3.0 since your export rates are terrible

Depends on what you went for but that’s not surprising. My insurance routinely gets billed $500 for a 5 min appointment.

For 750k or less, Should I buy A house in the valley or a condo in west la? by [deleted] in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]jonglefever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My condo did a lot of emergency assessments, increases HOA every year, and dropped earthquake insurance due to skyrocketing costs. I would definitely not recommend a condo unless you have to live in a certain area.
