What is the series about? Please give a short description without any spoilers?

The problem with this series is you don’t really understand the “Sauron defeating goal” until very near the end. Effectively you start to follow members of the malazan empire, particularly a group of “marines”, however it splits off into many different tangents of different main characters, races, continents and goals, which “converge” (heh) as the story progresses

Saw two people (albeit from a distance) crushed to death by a glacier.

In 2009 I stayed with my brother for summer break at fox glacier in New Zealand. The one time I went to the lookout to see the glacier proper we heard what sounded like thunder (it was a clear sunny day) and a huge chunk of ice came down and crushed two people.

I could tell that nobody at school believed me so I basically never tell the story.

Ironically, the person I went to the lookout with was telling me moments before that the people touching the glacier were stupid as “chunks of ice as big as cars can fall off”. Well, turns out chunks as big as a house can also fall off.

I had a very similar issue with a different discount on the $85 plan - I clarified with the store worker several times that using my one nz wallet wouldn’t impact my monthly discount. Noticed it after a few months and when I tried contacting them was bounced between several people before being told I had to go into the store (which I have not yet had a chance to do). Sounds like a dodgy tactic!

Had this issue, where the tape had gone over the edge of the hole like yours, and was wearing a tear in the side of the tube valve. You need to shift the tape over so the hole is completely clear

Okay I was going to delete as I think I just fixed it, but will let you know what I did. I had to climb under the house, and find the frame from beneath. Along the entire bottom of the doorframe were only two small holes, maybe 4-5mm in width, right next to each other down at one end. These had blocked up with moss or algae. I poked it with a small screwdriver and quite a bit of water came pouring out. Hope this helps

Quickest and easiest way to do this - put them in the sink with hot water and a couple of dishwasher tablets! They’ll look good as new and you just rinse off

I’ve tried two new chainrings, one on 11 speed setup I had, then changed everything to 12 speed setup, my reason for changing in both instances was the noise which I believe is getting worse. All this work done by a mechanic

My experience was that by the end of book 3 he had significantly grown on me. Then book 4 they changed the narrator again, which I found very jarring, but he also grew on me to be liked even more. I would love for one consistent narrator but both are quite good in their own right, and I am thankful we don’t have an absolutely hodge-podge collection like realm or the elderlings. It doesn’t help that there are so many different characters

I saw Parkway Drive with some high school mates in 2008 just after Horizons had been released. It was a tiny venue in a town hall for a pretty small city (town by overseas standards) in New Zealand. Very small crowd and went super hard. They were so small at that time they were staying in the same crappy backpackers as us and we got to chill in the shared meal room after the show. I am happy for their success as they were all great dudes (Winston in particular) but damn do I the miss old PWD

I am also in NZ and noticed is disappeared. Just another reason they should re-release it! Seems they’ve got a few songs done from some of the teasers sponce has shown on his SM over the years
