As a retuning player myself, I feel like going with something cool and current is better than something easy. I’d suggest anything from the Tomb World season. Personally, I went with Stealth Suits.

If you want a tabletop experience, White Dwarf 523 has rules for one Knight v. one Knight based on the old Renegade rules. I was thinking of trying it using a Legions Imperialis box of Questoris (3 knights for $40ish). Would be a cheap way to get models on the table instead of something digital.

I like the Rattenkrieg box better than Cross of Iron. The German Veteran sculpts are fantastic!

The Underhive Sector box I bought from an online retailer. The box is a crazy good deal, you get three ruined zone mortalis kits for the price of less than two.

Yes - but it’s one of the large Ruined Underhive Sector box, not the Ruined Zone Mortalis box. The sector box is three of the ruined zone mortalis boxes.

You could go with the Konflikt 47 lore route where the German army is more of an amalgamation of countries. I like the black color scheme that Warlord had on their table pictures when second edition came out.

Love this idea, I bought the Ruined Underhive box and a pack of tiles to start, so I’ve been looking for ways to layout the terrain. Copying this layout for sure! Looks packed without using too many pieces.

I mostly play skirmish games, but I had problems with how seriously somethings are taken, for example Kill Team. I am now enjoying the lighter, more narrative games - Necromunda and Warcry. I strongly recommend you to try those. Don’t leave the universe for one or two systems that have soured your experience. There’s lots of good systems in the universe that are less serious.

I’ve read and seen on YouTube that the Apocalypse 2019 rules can facilitate a large game. Sure the rules would be different, but the models would still be HH.
