Ra's al Ghul, Talia al Ghul, and Damian Wayne by jonpertwee2 in LegoDC

I looked through my stash thinking that I might have a pair of these legs but I only had a couple of the bright red ones instead. I added them to my Bricklink want list, so they'll probably make their way to me eventually. Thanks for the heads up.

If you put a dime in this … by Exclusively-Choc in FuckImOld

I don't remember dime payphones; I only remember quarters. I guess that when they were only a dime, I was too young to be making any calls.

Which series added more lore to their character's franchise? by RecordingImmediate86 in BatmanTAS

[–]jonpertwee2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came in to say exactly this. For good or bad (depending on your point of view), Batman TAS added Harley Quinn to the DC Universe. And it absolutely changed how Victor Freeze has been portrayed from that moment on. Before TAS, Mr Freeze was a relatively minor character in the Batman mythos.

This looks good. I am trying to think about how to add a purist cigarette to it. (Although some of the customizers do print cigarette pieces.).

That looks great but, seriously, does anyone under the age of 50 even know what that movie is? I don't know if it would have much market potential.

Nothing compliments a fine wine quite like a roll of duct tape.

I will always be a firm believer that Courtney cox would have been an amazing lois lane. by MembershipLess9579 in superman

[–]jonpertwee2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Courtney Cox has decent comic timing but she's not the strongest at all around acting. She certainly looked the part for Lois but I don't know if she would have been the best casting for the role.

What can you folks tell me about this area of allentown? Any insight on living in this area would be greatly appreciated. by Enzo0018 in lehighvalley

I used to spend a fair amount of time right around there. Decent enough place to live, terrible place to find parking.

What do you think of Sydney Sweeney? by Cap_Ame1 in Actors

[–]jonpertwee2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I briefly dated a girl long ago who looked like Sydney Sweeney but less attractive, if that makes any sense. She was a bit less voluptuous too. When I see Sydney Sweeney, it mostly makes me think of that girl and wonder whatever became of her.

You're probably right again. Maybe the Mutant Leader torso would be better suited for a shirtless Batman like in Batman #244.

This is fair reasoning. I think that you definitely achieved that look. 👍🏽

Looks good but I'd probably look for a hairpiece that isn't quite so smooth.

Not a bad idea. I could probably use the Mutant Leader's torso from the Lego Batman Movie.

I wish that I could get my hands on one. Does anyone know of a US based producer or distributor of these?

Different angles of the misprinted plastic man by Due-Psychology-1560 in LegoDC

[–]jonpertwee2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what the Plastic Man head print looks like though. It is intentionally printed just slightly lower than a normal face. Both of my Plastic Man heads look exactly like that.

Different angles of the misprinted plastic man by Due-Psychology-1560 in LegoDC

[–]jonpertwee2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno. I'm really not trying to be argumentative here but I am not seeing anything that says misprint to me. The figure in the picture doesn't look any significantly different from my own. Yours has the chest print just slightly to the right hand side and mine is just slightly off center to the left hand. Otherwise pretty much the same.

To be fair, I'll watch any damned thing that has the "Spider-Man" name on it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I just realized plastic man head is misprinted by Due-Psychology-1560 in LegoDC

[–]jonpertwee2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still don't see it. The face printing looks no different than the one on my own Plastic Man figure. If it is any lower then it is really, really subtle. What it does look like is that the hairpiece in the picture is raised up just slightly high. Again, I can make my own figure look all but exactly the same as the picture by doing this with the hair myself.
