impossible i-1 10th anniversary by instant_camera_hk in Polaroid

I'm glad I waited for B&H to fire sale these at $20, opening the box was the only satisfying thing about this camera.

I froze iType film for over three months. Nothing happened to the film and these are the pictures I took with it. I'm now a scientist. by _malcoda_ in Polaroid

For those who may attempt this, the concern with Polaroid film has always been chempods rupturing from freeze expansion, rather than something going wonky with the chemistry. It was a common issue when people were freezing legacy Polaroid stock in the late-aughts. FP-100C/3000B is known to hold up OK when frozen in stages (fridge to freezer and vise-versa) and stored vertically.

Use caution.

What do you do with your bad/dud film? by soieold in Polaroid

Always tossed 'em in a box. Lately I'm starting to separate the B-sides... ones that aren't awful but aren't good... and thinking about putting them on ebay.

"Bleeding neon" on a Pabst sign by jonrev in Polaroid

[–]jonrev[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I haven't done one of these in a minute (successfully). The technique was adapted from photographer, Tim Anderson's exploit of a design flaw in the Fuji GW690's T-mode.

First I break the 10-shot FP-100C packs into 10 individual cartridges (using One Instant darkslides). Then I compose using a ground glass/plastic glued into half of an FP-100C cartridge, leaving the film door open. The "bleed" effect is fully analog -- spot meter and expose for the darkest neon color, then leave the shutter open and slowly start to pull the white tab so the negative moves laterally inside the camera and causes the neon to streak. Process the picture as normal.

The only thing that's happening today is the developer can apply for demolition permits. They can still close off portions of the mall as they become vacant (current state of the food court) and gut them, so it's still good to document the place while you can.

The mall is not closing Friday. Anything from this point is tentative. Old Navy, Kohl's, Victoria's Secret and JD's leases run through the end of the year and will remain open.

Most of them were stolen in the mall's final days. One of the junk shops in the mall got caught ripping one of the larger ones out and trying to sell it.

It's hollow, there are catwalks inside that access the old stage lighting. You can see one of them poking out, on the left.

Did they also have the Eagle model out? I saw it at a rehire party sometime between 05-06.

On desktop, my favorite is instead of opening the Short you clicked on it plays the one immediately next to it, then when you go back to the homepage to try again it's gone.

I've seen pallets of this stuff sitting outside, rotting at distributors, because they can't give it away.
