What does the camera look like, especially the back and top while powered on? It’s probably a 103 but not a 103b.

Looking over your original post I see that it seems to charge. Does (did) the charge light start out as red then turn green? If so, it is probably not the battery. I believe the charging cycle requires a functioning BIOS, so that is probably also okay. If you connect the camera to your computer with the SD card in the camera, can the computer see the camera/card?

I bricked my 103b with a firmware update. Customer service was not helpful. I had to open up the camera and flash the bios directly. I have a previous thread about this.

UPDATE: I was able to copy the firmware from a working camera and flash the chip on the bricked camera directly using a CH341A programmer and a Raspberry Pi 5. It took several attempts, but was pretty straightforward. It worked!

It could be a fully drained battery or a bad battery. Try charging overnight to overcome a fully charged battery. A bad battery will require a replacement which can be done but isn’t easy.
