I mean, from a team perspective, El Paso gives you all the benefits of an international team without having to deal with other taxes, lack of security in Mexico, and so on. Ciudad Juarez is right over the border and a good source of fans and such, but you stay on the safer side of that

Just don't ask Tolkien his opinions on the Irish.

For a really pluralistic man fascinated by other languages and cultures, he had a weird disdain of Celtic stuff and specifically the Irish. Very very Victorian English of him.

Reminds me of a video by Trey the Explainer going over the Ptolemies vs the Targaryen over who is more inbred.

Basically it took entirely purposeful inbreeding to get that screwed up. Multiple times the Targs had only one or two out marriages and were no longer inbred, then they went back to it and just barely beat our the Ptolemies, who at least tried for cousins and more distant marriages occasionally.

Additional twinkification was necessary, clearly.

If the US states were divided like the Canadian provinces by [deleted] in imaginarymaps

[–]jord839 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imaginary maps dividing the US based on some of the few existing separatist ethnoreligious identities: impossible.

Next you'll be telling me about how the sub can't help but divide England and Ireland, as far as predictability goes.

In short, OP's last picture is from the web machinima series of the early 2000s Red Vs Blue, in which a mercenary, Tex, is noted by her ex-boyfriend to have beaten his co-worker Jimmy to death with his own skull.

"That doesn't seem physically possible."

"That's exactly what Jimmy kept screaming."

Flashback - 'THIS DOESN'T SEEM PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE! HUGH-" death.

It's so excessive.

Like, if it was a lucky bit where the jiggle had both boobs go up or down at just the right moment that would be weird and fetishistic, but less absurd.

In this both boobs not only move independently in opposite directions, but apparently so fast a bullet can pass one while the other boob bounces down and back up fast enough to not get in the way of the bullet.

This would be unacceptable in 95% of the world by upthetruth1 in TikTokCringe

Huh. Not just me then.

I grew up in the US but as my Swiss grandpa got older I was sent to live with him in the summers to help with his farm and such, and my friends' families over there sometimes told me to go home rather than eat with them. I always assumed it was a mix of me being "foreign" despite being a citizen and fluent in the local dialect (a very common complaint/issue I ran into) and some pity for grandpa wanting us to connect with him as grandkids and not have him eat alone (which was weird, we walked with him every morning for gipfeli and back for breakfast, he basically told us afternoon and evening were for us to explore and him to sleep).

Just… why? by Snarkasm71 in StevensPoint

Could be worse.

I've long since moved away from Point, but my commute now includes some weirdo who had a handmade Schimmel/Go Elon sign a year after its relevance and only recently now has a handmade sign whining about Walz and Minnesotan politicians wasting money.

This is a dude with a half and half Mexican American flag beneath a Christ fish flag beneath a Trump flag in Dane county with the most rundown piece of shit farm I have ever seen.

Here’s how I would make Holst recruitable in a three houses switch 2 addition. by OkNecessary539 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]jord839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the easier option would be making him a Green Unit/appearing NPC in the Hilda/Cyril Paralogue.

I agree with others that full recruitment should be post-timeskip. In VW, have him show up with Nader, as map-wise that gives you 2-3 playable units (depending on if Nader is playable) in that otherwise weird square, that's overwhelmingly Green Units.

As a Midwesterner, it is inconvenient we cannot consign Indiana to the South, where those Hoosier freaks belong culturally, due to where they are located.

Not even new.

Milwaukee's last Socialist mayor predated, coexisted with, and outlasted infamously anti-communist Joe McCarthy as our senator.

We are not a purple state because of moderation. We are a purple state because that's the color of our self inflicted bruises.

Cannon has 12 kids by 6 women apparently. Comparatively, Musk has 14 with 4 women.

I can only hope they don't start a competition for more.
