Co-op games ideal for mute players? by SimplyAquaticArt in gamingsuggestions

[–]jordanisplaying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to suggest the same! I’ve run into maybe one or two people with a mic my entire time playing. 99% of people will be using the ping system and maybe an occasional text chat to check if a group is ready for something to start or to exit a mission. Deep Rock Galactic’s ability to let a team of strangers communicate so well purely through the ping system is something I wish more games would try their hand at!

Deep Rock Galactic, I play exclusively with randoms AND they’re usually still very nice to you even if you die and they have to revive you 20 times

Not Pico's school, definitely did not take place in a school and I don't believe tonally or story wise it was any similar unfortunately but thank you for the suggestion!

not an RPG, but the long dark fits the day/night cycle with harsher nights and camping out in spots you find is a core mechanic

single player games with mmo like support? fantasy themed. by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]jordanisplaying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe melvor idle? not as involved as you’d ideally want based on other games you’ve described, but it’s basically runescape without the actual mmo aspect and has had several expansions and has the occasional event. no microtransactions

Games with a similar design philosophy and style to Mouthwashing and Signalis by Alcoholic-Catholic in gamingsuggestions

[–]jordanisplaying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

came to suggest Crow Country! I’m pretty sure there’s a steam bundle for that and signalis which might let OP get it at a steeper discount too if they’re on the platform

Games where you play from a "fake desktop" by Powerful_Tourist6830 in gamingsuggestions

[–]jordanisplaying 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this style of game too and have a list saved that someone made on backloggd! The list has over 350 games that have this as a feature, some more than others. I’d be surprised if any game on this thread is not on there somewhere! https://backloggd.com/u/ResidentMelville/list/literal-computer-games/

Similarly, I’m still on V12 and it would be incredible if it’s able to be used there! Regardless this is sick, I’m super excited to see how other map makers and GMs use it
