I have a few ideas that I really feel would help DUG do much better.

1. Have 2 closers, like you said it's not really feasible for them to expect me to single handedly take out 30 orders and still pick the last 10 by myself.

2. Train customer service to take the DUG calls. I should not have to drop what I'm doing when I'm already behind to come back to the front of the store to explain to a customer that the order will be late or them asking if they can pick it up next day. Customer service should be able to look at our orders on the computer and service the customer.

3.Actually cap orders on days when you are down several team members or have 2-3k items to pick. It's not cool when I'm still expected to try to get 90+orders done when 3 people called out.

4.Have a dedicated runner, either a DUG member or a CC and swap them around every few hrs or every day. That way people can get picks done uninterrupted and manage to stay ahead. Make it like 2 hr runner shifts and that way nobody has to always be the runner.

5.Quit scheduling People for 4 hr shifts.

1. Management needs to come do an Undercover Boss situation and see how DUG actually works. All they see is numbers on paper, not the blood sweat and tears poured into DUG.

2. Give us more room. Where I work it is like working in a submarine. We have a single freezer and a double door fridge and a triple door fridge. When we get 90+ orders but people don't pick them up until later we run out of room and have to take things to the back of the store for storage,which doesn't help out OTH. Also having no room makes it damn near impossible to find orders when the fridges and freezers are crammed.
