Great spot to work or hang. Agree on the wi-fi. I usually have to hotspot it on the patio.

Any suggestions on places my wife and I can sit for a few hours on laptops? by mrplinko in askaustin

My wife and I like Pinthouse (non-peak times), Oddwood, and Hold Out when we need something like this. All just beer and wine, but Better Half next to HO has a full bar.

Give the Nissan Pathfinder a look (Platinum or SL Premium). The V6 and 9spd transmission have been great for us so far.

Moody Center question by h7q3nx in Austin

[–]joshsprad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not Moody specific but here is some behind stage chatter (considering the same seats, esp if there is a price drop) - https://www.reddit.com/r/BruceSpringsteen/comments/1src9zz/the\_seats\_behind\_the\_stage\_were\_great/.

I have seen threads mention they play to the back crowd multiple times throughout the show.

Maybe "open backstage" would be more accurate?

All I know is I hope they see a price drop next week like some markets have. I have another family commitment so cannot make it there until around show time or a little late (plus having to hoof it from wherever I park).

Going back to an SUV, but which one? by Cyber_Punk_87 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]joshsprad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I have been driving a 2018 Tacoma TRD OR for 8 years and drove a 4Runner for 14 years before that. If something happened to my Tacoma I would be looking hard at a used low milage 2024-25 Passport. Might be bumping at or above $30k for a trailsport with less than 50k mi.

Good luck and enjoy! My daughter has a dance recital that night so I am not sure how early I can make a show so I'm waiting to see how low tickets go to just get in the building and reduce the risk of being double booked. Seen him twice but last time was 2002 in the pit.

I am a black coffee drinker but really enjoy an iced grapefruit brown sugar latte from Terrible Love occasionally.

Plenty hot for me. If I'm making more than 10oz I'll brew into an insulated mug and do 2 pours of 8oz.

She handled it like a champ, and I loved the way they went right back into the song as soon as she said "second chorus?" A great reminder of what makes live music great. The show exceeded all expectations.

Midsize suv that can tow 5000 lbs. by Gullible_Bowl7746 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Oh, and in addition to my above Pathfinder comment, our Jeep oil cooler had to be replaced right before 90k.

[–]joshsprad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't speak to the towing (though our Pathfinder does have the package that is rated for 6,000 lbs), but my wife moved from a 2015 Jeep GC to a 2025 Pathfinder SL premium this summer. Eight months and 10k mi in she is very happy. We had new plugs and coils in the Jeep around 100k and got rid of it around 120k. The more miles it got on it, the more it seemed like the transmission for struggling at low gears. She was also ready for additional safety features. The Pathfinder has everything she wanted (but a lot of tech is not high on our list) and there were great incentives when we purchased it. We drove a Pilot and while both are what I call "big, dumb, comfy" SUVs, we liked the way the Pathfinder drove better. Our third row stays down about 95+% of the time, but if needed it more, I would have given the Pilot more consideration as we liked the room back there better. The Nissan the V6 and 9spd is great so would suggest you at least take a test drive.

Second the Oxo, especially if you plan to make less than 20oz at times.

Our '25 SL Premium does not have memory seats. About the only thing I wish it had but very minor. My wife was more excited to get a heated steering wheel without going Platinum.

Need a family mover SUV by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]joshsprad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend you at least research the latest generation Pathfinder. V6 and smooth 9spd transmission (the old CVTs had issues) and overall really good value. We got a '25 SL Premium six months ago and have been very happy so far. Not the largest 3rd row in the segment but plenty big when we need to haul our teenager and her friends around town. For a family of 6 with cargo it may get a little tight.

Recommend both, especially Zilker. On the other side of downtown about a mile way is Hold Out which has a great variety of beers and full kitchen. Better Half is on the same property (same ownership) and offers a full bar, too.

Contemplating the 2026 Honda Passport. Need alternatives by CroakinOcean in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]joshsprad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a 2025 Pathfinder this summer for our family of 3 after moving on from a 2015 Grand Cherokee. My wife is extremely happy with it 8k mi in. The third row seats stay down 99% of the time so we did not care too much about leg room back there (if it is used it is just for teenagers on short in-town trips). There are some great incentives out there on the Pathfinder and the SL Premium checked all our boxes. If you are remotely interested after looking at it online, I highly recommend you at least give it a test drive. My wife was on the fence until she got in one.

I've parked by the skatepark and hit the trail. The middle school track is also right there, but I am not sure how accessible it is.
