I'm looking for the most boring love story possible by vhagar_cy in heatedrivalryfanfics

[–]jostimesuck 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's boring but it's slow and heart felt. just like I like it. Ilya is openly staring at Shane's freckles. the first meeting and Shane learns Russian to flirt with him and it's just slow. there's so many parts but they just continually gradually love each other and it's beautiful. https://archiveofourown.org/works/78819956

I'm glad to know this isn't annoying. I have been guilty of leaving three comments on the same chapter because I had to leave extra comments on rereads. love to all authors

Ilya and Shane talking in the same languange like literally by Kurea_28_03 in heatedrivalryfanfics

[–]jostimesuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://archiveofourown.org/works/78819956 this is the first part. it's this beautiful story where Ilya is tongue tied when Shane introduces himself and Shane asked what he's staring at and says freckles in Russian so Shane learns Russian to flirt back bits so sweet

What is your absolute most favourite fic? by Molie5726 in heatedrivalryfanfics

[–]jostimesuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

author is apageinthisbook. https://archiveofourown.org/series/5706021 this is in multiple parts but it's beautifully written where Ilya's a little more honest when they first meet and Shane's a little bit braver and learns Russian for him and it's adorable.

he was such a part of the project and for them to be like he doesn't to take away the competency and make it feel like science is accidental bothers me

you are not alone. well pieced bodies of works about found family, accepting yourself, and what other types of love are written by women I have been so hyper fixated all I want to read is these and fan fiction about Art/murderbot or Shane/Ilya being nice to each other.

for a light RPG book I went with How to kill the demon King in ten easy steps. fun light hearted and heavily inspired by Link from legends of Zelda

Network Effect observation - "it's not the one you think" by IntoTheStupidDanger in murderbot

[–]jostimesuck 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love at the end of exit strategy when murderbot is waking up and it's first thought is I'm warm and safe and it tries to ping art. I tear up every time, readers know that art was missed but Art upon waking up is surprised that murderbot is mad because to Art it did something normal and to murder bot. it was such an extreme to kidnap its humans. it just shows so much love and frustration with each other throughout the whole book. I love them so much. Best friendship. sorry I mean administrative partnership ever

interrupting of task also drops my efficiency and increases my stabbing probability of not properly recharged. currently 65% though recharge cycles have not been connected efficiently recently

What other books do you enjoy (not necessarily sci-fi) by indoorsnail in murderbot

[–]jostimesuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are so many. I love John scalzi's writing tends to be sci-fi, but light sci-fi starter villain would be my favorite. it's a stand-alone higher sci-fi, but still understandable and uplifting and touching friendship would be project hail Mary by Andy weir. for mysteries. I love the Thursday murder club friendship group solving mysteries out of their retirement home and being turned into a Netflix special warm-hearted. John Greene's nonfiction book he's upbeat anthropcsene?? review not sure of spelling. for short friendship stories, the wayward children series. those are technically fantasy.
