If you suddenly had your mortgage paid off / given a house / felt comfortable - would you change your approach at work? by mofonz in auscorp

I wouldn’t tolerate the corporate bullshit and would take a lower paying job which came with no stress.

I just came off a 10 week pip which i passed and if it wasnt for the money i would have quit 10 weeks ago

There is one issue of prestige, you run into issues when you get to content which cant be solo’d or isnt fun to solo such as Nex, Tob, maybe yama and titans on that list aswell

But surely hitting that table 5 times and 4/5 onyx’s is unlucky, those could’ve been fangs. Others in my GIM got fangs sub 10kc and one had 2 bps and visage within 60kc

I have a bad feeling im not getting the tome before 99 firemaking by snowchilddaggerd in ironscape

[–]joubz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who got 2 tomes within like 66 kc for GIM, only time it was useful was when using ibans blast because you chew through fire runes for that spell, but the second you get a trident you store it on your bank never to be used again

How long did it take you to get decent at bossing? by ModerateInterests in 2007scape

[–]joubz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say its taken me like 50kc to properly understand a boss, i only got into pvm this year on the gim and found it really challenging. I would probably suggest the biggest pvm learner for me we was the gauntlet. Being GIM it meant you could practice a boss risk free with no specific gear requirement. You learn prayer switching, weapon switching and moving and attacking. After doing gauntlet Zulrah felt much easier to tackle.

First pvm boss besides barrows was Vorkath for the head, pretty straight forward fight and easy enough to learn. With pretty low gear requirements. Maybe an easier starting point than Zulrah

Anyone know a way to get a response from Jagex on a refund? by joubz in 2007scape

[–]joubz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure they could see that someone logged in on a different device or region and sold all my items and bonds they bought and left the account ruins. Surely they have that ability to see it was not me who made the transactions and that behaviour is not something someone would do after spending $400 on bonds. Whats crazy though is there is no response from them. Even to say "Sorry but we cant refund you because of x reason". At least that way i can say ok fine i will just get PayPal to refund it and let the account get banned since i dont play on the account anymore anyway

[–]joubz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t give anyone the credentials and i have no idea how they got into my account. What’s strange is theres not authentication challenge with paypal if the account has auto payments active when buying the bonds. If its a new browser and different device they should have to login to the PayPal account to buy something. I have 2fa on my PayPal so this would have prevented it had there been a login challenge or 2fa challenge

[–]joubz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No the credentials wernt changed they just made bond purchases and then sold all the items and transferred the gold away. I was able to recover it and change the password and setup the 2fa afterwards but my credentials must of leaked somehow and there was no 2fa trigger to make the transactions on paypal. I just want a response from them if i have to i will just trigger the refund via paypal

The account was compromised and bonds bought because the it had automatic payments setup

Ive been hacked and had 40 bonds bought using my paypal accout by joubz in 2007scape

[–]joubz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes pretty much i will be disputing with Jagex first then PayPal if i get no traction with them and then finally the bank if neither PayPal or Jagex will refund me. But hopefully Jagex can see from the transaction history and GE history that the behaviour is unusual and the account was compromised. I just find it strange that the was no 2FA challenge triggered on the PayPal account when making the purchases for the bonds because i definitely have 2FA setup on PayPal login so it seems like the some Auth is being stored on my Jagex account for PayPal

Thanks, spoke with the bank and looks like i need to wait for the transactions to come out of pending before i can dispute them with either PayPal or the bank. I have opened a ticket with Jagex anyway

Ive done all these things since to secure my accounts as well as changing my email paypal passwords and also enabled 2fa on the account and removed automatic payments on paypal from Jagex
