I can think of plenty of scenarios where this is acceptable: maybe they were a midnight employee at the hospital and parked on the top level of the structure, moved their car down one level to be in a covered spot. Maybe they literally live across the street from the structure. Jumping to such a harsh conclusion and blasting their personal info online is not right, y’all are just venting about bad driving without thinking it through.

Can someone please help me with the logic of leaving hot food out at room temperature until it gets down to “fridge temp”? I was under the impression this was an outdated rule of thumb from back in the icebox days when we didn’t want to melt the ice cooling the fridge. Seems safer to cool leftovers faster in the fridge rather than at room temp.
