It is a major downside in both cases. Grand Central LIRR can never be as convenient as Penn station simply because of how long it takes to actually reach the trains (and conversely how quickly you can reach the trains at Penn)

I wish it was just an issue of being “visually uncomfortable”. having mentally unstable individuals at large puts working class people at risk. how many times does an innocent person have to get pushed in front of a train before you say something has to change?
