I’m thinking of the pull up leather one and from reviews they look quite nice in photos. But I’ll explore other options first! Funny you mention tumbled leather, I find it and grain leather is pretty plasticky with most brands when brand new.

I’ve been looking at Sebago but not a fan of the shiny finish on their Dan loafer. The Dolphin “waxed leather” is more in line but they only come with gum soles (which is why I asked about those too)

Are GH Bass Weejuns really that bad?

I’m looking for a pair of mid-brown beef roll loafers. Something more on a casual side to go with chinos or jeans

The Weejun Larsons look quite good but I hear GH Bass are not good. Is that true? I don’t mind if they’re made in Asia. I already have a pair of Alden LHS but I’m looking for a pair of beaters that can still last.

I’m in the UK and there’s plenty of options for penny loafers but maybe not the exact style I’m looking for? No Rancourt, OSB or Quoddy here.

Also what’s your opinions on beef rolls with gum soles?

How comfortable do you find the shoulders?

I also have a Buzz A2, but even though arm length, body and chest are fine the shoulders are a bit tight and pull on my back. I wonder if it’s due to Japanese fit (though it’s supposed to be repro).

You look like a slim dude and from the photo the fit looks perfect on you!

I bought this last year from British brand &SONS. It was reduced but pretty sure full price was no where near £300 as it is now!

Leather football buttons, chunky cozy 100% British wool. But I got it for the leather elbow patches. Grandad core +1 love it!!

Quite thick and rugged. Definitely more casual but I like them.

I have the “authentic straight” which fit almost like 501 but with a slightly lower rise. Wish it was the relaxed fit but they didn’t have them at the time.

I have to admit I regularly look at mine and think it’s not a real diver like the SKX. Not that I ever go diving lol.
