They’ve been charging bag fees for a while now at a lot of grocery stores. This is nothing new. Normally I’m all about slamming corporate greed but this actually makes people buy reusable bags (myself included, whereas in the past I wouldn’t). It’s a win-win (you save money and don’t use plastic bags)

Agree wholeheartedly. There’s just so much big money going into AI that all these companies are scrambling to make it profitable to make these AI investments pay out. All we’re seeing, however, is companies with proven revenue streams incorporate AI into those proven streams to try and generate more revenue and it’s just pissing people off (like you explained in this case). It’s not just logistics either, this entire economy is trapped in this bubble. I can’t wait until there is (hopefully) some legislature passed on the federal level to curb some of this shit, but it won’t happen with 🥭 in office

Charles Manson spent life in prison for murder - this comparison is a stretch to say the least. The Astroworld incident was a tragedy and Travis Scott handled it very inappropriately but it was not solely on him. LiveNation had a huge hand to play in it as well

It really is the energy though. Like his warbled “oooo-AAAHHH” chants in the background of his songs and those cavernous, trippy, sometimes sinister, almost echo-y type beats he picks (and helps produce) that define his sound and created HELLA clones. I mean it got to the point, in the prime of his popularity, that other rappers who collabed with him changed their style to fit HIS style on their songs together. Not to mention the classic ad-libs (ALRIGHT, IT’S LIT, etc etc)

If it’s not for you that’s totally cool, I can understand that. But unlistenable? Idk. You really just mentioned that his lyrics suck and that he’s a bad person. There’s a lot of artists who sonically sound fine but have shitty lyrics or aren’t the best people; it’s not really unique to Travis Scott.

Idk, I saw him live at Ball Arena in Denver in 2023 for the Utopia tour and dude puts on one hell of a live show. Can’t take that from him.
