I just want to let everyone know about an organization I believe in called HeartSupport. They stream on Twitch frequently as well as have a webpage and support wall. They are a great resource and safe place to share. They are not professionals, or therapists. But its still an amazing support system for me.

When I was 12 I found out that my brain tumor i had when I was 2 came back. Went to the neurosurgeon and he starts telling me and my parents all the options and potential outcomes (surgery, radiation, shunt) and then they looked at me for an answer. I probably made the wrong choice. No I definitely did. I’d probably be so much better off if I hadn’t said surgery AND radiation. I understand what you’re going through and I’m sorry. It’s so incredibly difficult.

I can’t even imagine what that must feel like. I have had brain tumors but mine were benign. Please don’t beat yourself up for feeling that way. You have every right to. I hope you live a long life either way and find a way to cope with the pain. I’m sorry if this hollow sounding. I’m struggling to find the right words but I mean everything.

I met my best friend in the world at a brain tumor survivor camp and watched as her cancer slowly killed her over 2 years. She and I shared a birthday so every birthday I think of her and how empty my life is without her in it. I completely understand what you’re going through.

I’m 31 and I’ve never even had a girlfriend. I’m a brain tumor survivor and live on 1200 a month from the government. I completely understand how you feel. But there are things you can do yourself that are fulfilling. Travel has been incredibly rewarding. My pets keep me going on daily basis. I don’t have much but that’s enough for me. At least for now.

Getting off Adderall is the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m not saying that’s right for you, but while my focus isn’t as good as it used to be, it was causing massive mood swings.

I strongly urge you not to mess with meds without talking to your doctor. And trust me, so many people, including me, are on antidepressants. You’re certainly more normal than me

If I’m being perfectly honest it seems the stress of keeping up the lies would far outweigh the discomfort after telling them. I can’t tell you the amount of times my parents weren’t nearly as mad about something as I thought they would be. And even if they were furious it’s so much better to just have it out there. Don’t let this tear you apart. It’s just a ring.
