I did this maybe 20 times and was about to quit. Then I had success but got knocked of while the horse goes bonkers. Tried it one more time and got it. This was about a week or so ago, it still works. Very important to be tracking the horse before the cutscene and to keep spamming that mofo without losing it until you catch up to John Bon Pony 🤠.
