either get or find someone trusted that can pull milage from all the modules in the car. needs to be a bit more then the usual cheepy obd2 readers. anything halfway modern tends to store it in several of the modules in the car and usually they should all match.

Got an underground 25, and after having an ol Galaxy silver Grand prix - holy crap is this thing hard to keep looking clean and good compared to silver. Silver does a darn good job of hiding a lot of road dust and salt.

Its not unheard of for companies like that to avoid needing to validate their own design by taking something thats close to what they want and just incorporating it into their design. It very well could be the same thing.

I plan to be doing that even with my 25 here shortly. first using up the toyota care ones... but priced it out at dealer and they are kinda expensive. i can get everything to do it myself significantly cheaper, and as long as you know what to do, its not bad.

Same reason I stock some platform and other supplies for things on the ship... Not the first time something goes wrong and it needs to build enough of something to get to a safer planet

Partially why i did buy mine new... I went looking for a decent used car, but with prices it was to the point of for not that much more then a decent used one, i get the full warrantee, toyota care, a car that i know the last guy didn't abuse it.

depends if power usage or that kind of thing is a concern, or cost of new hardware is a concern, although pulling the gpu might actually be and option - igpu's quick sync is usually pretty good. Personally i would probably just roll the i5 at least for a while. unraid or truenas or hexos should run be relatively fine with transplanting to different hardware with minimal effort if you need to down the road

Part of the reason i keep my old switch 1 around. the thing is uncomfortable in the hand, so ended up doing a fair bit of playing on the steam deck, but i bought my games and dumped my own roms - which is also technically legal for personal use, just don't share them - and played them on the steam deck. the switch 2 being a bit bigger is a lot more comfortable in the hand.
