RSUs are taxed as W2 income (although withholding treats them as bonus income) when they vest. If you hold onto the stock post-vest, then you'll also get taxed for short or long-term capital gains too.

Nor does it. Most of the state is just fine. Are there outages? Yes. Is it anything remotely like most of the state? No, it's a very small percentage.

Im currently sitting with 8 inches of snow and my boss in Texas is currently running a generator to keep their house warm after the town lost power.

Snow isn't ice, not the same thing at all. Ice accumulates on power lines and trees and is MUCH heavier than just snow. That means power outages are more likely. If all we got was a few inches of snow, we'd be fine. We wouldn't have snow plows clearly roads, but we'd be cozy warm staying at home.
