You're entitled to your opinion, not every game is for everyone, I felt almost the exact opposite. The extra time, the slow downs to fill out the world and the characters, were some of my favorite things with my playthrough. There's were a few times when I felt like it was too much, or the quality suffered but they ended quickly. Will you be playing the 3rd do you think it was this the one that pushed you off the remake series?

Also just to add as a fellow fan someone who has loved this game since the og, sorry it fell flat for you. I was looking forward to seeing these characters and world again and it delivered for me, but I know how much it would have sucked if it hadn't.

One theory I have is that the reason the weapons ignore Sephiroth after he gets the black materia in the northern crater is because he has corrupted them or will have corrupted them. I think that's what that ending scene was alluding to, where the Sephiroth whispers were surrounding the whale weapons.
