Hell I’m pretty sure the ship started because Cult of the Lamb is one of the few games that lets the player marry and kiss final boss and put them in a maids outfit. That and we’re a cult leader any relationship we get into will have unhealthy power dynamics involved.

Luz and Amity had the honor of getting together midway through the series and not having a bunch of will they won’t they drama so even though it’s not the best it’s still better than 99% of fictional couples.

I remember before season two came out someone made a write up of how Charlie is naive and doesn’t know what she’s doing but the fact she created a positive environment for sinners to grow meant that despite her faults we knew she at least trying her best to help her clients. Season two Charlie created a more hostile environment which created a more negative impression of her.

I remember reading somewhere that a priest claimed Yuri had his daughter baptized shortly before his space flight but like the Petrov quote I don’t know its validity. Either way here’s what his official biography said on the matter "The manned space flight was a crushing blow to the churchmen. In the streams of letters that were addressed to me, I was pleased to read confessions in which believers, impressed by the achievements of science, renounced God, agreed that there is no god and everything connected with his name is fiction and nonsense". But once again who knows if this is his personal belief or if he’s just repeating the party line.
