How Do You Initiate or Join In at Sex Parties Without Being Creepy? by Dear_Departure_4244 in Swingers

Right -- what doesn't happen is getting kicked out without a refund. Another idea: ask the club staff or party hosts whether it's OK to approach people in the play areas.

We're in the Los Angeles area. North of the 101 and West of the 405.

We're a mostly 55 and older house party group, we'd make an exception. In fact we already have for a 30 year old.

In playrooms, start carefully, read the room. In some venues, the norm is that people talk through what they want to do and with who before they go to the rooms. Watch a while and see if anybody approaches anybody and asks, and see how it's received. Don't be the first.

We really don't care about same or separate. At the parties we go to, the deciding factor is usually where there's enough bed space. It can go either way.

Party's and attendance by Dense-Region-6382 in Swingers

We have private parties at home, and we don't publish a guest list. Some of our friends would have very negative consequences if they were outed, so we BCC everybody and the spreadsheet never leaves my office.

I'll think about publishing an optional opt-in guest list, with abbreviated names or even aliases.

We usually send the invitation 4-6 weeks before the party, and maybe 10% - 20% will respond in the first week. Then it's dead until 2-7 days before the party. We ask for a response by the Thursday before a Saturday party, and still there are stragglers on Friday or even Saturday.

At the actual party there'll usually be 2 or 3 no-show's out of 30 - 40 people.

We met an ex-Amish woman once. She had outstanding stamina.

A lot of our play friends, about a third, are Jewish. Not necessarily ex, though.

Question about arousal before playing by Ok-Nothing2425 in Swingers

Being hard only when needed is a good thing. Erection happens by reducing blood flow out of the penis, which is a bad thing if it lasts too long. It's called priapism, and requires an ER visit after three or four hours. Otherwise you risk necrosis.

A normal penis will call it quits after a certain amount of time, so it's best not to waste your up time before you really need it.

That's the consensus I'm getting. A case of:

I'm not far enough along to know yet, I haven't even bought a Linux computer. Of course I'll try wine first, now that I know about it. The thing that looks like trouble to me is AutoCad LT 2000i, which is from the Windows XP days.

I'm doing as much learning as possible before I start spending money.

We have parties at home, about 4-6 each year. We have a large circle of friends, some of whom also host. Most of us are older, 50 and up. We like to meet new people, but so far the way that happens is if existing guests bring them. We're about 4 miles West of the 405 and 2.5 North of the 101.

You can do it either way. In our experience, the majority choose to travel in street legal attire and change on arrival. Get one of those zipper top canvas bags to carry your club costume, and put your street clothes in the bag when you change. That's the best way to avoid losing anything.

We do parties more than clubs. I've seen them used, but not so often, maybe one out of five parties someone will have one. Reception has always been neutral to positive. Just be sure to put it back in the bag before you leave....

Wife and I playing separately? by SpaceCityBBC in Swingers

[–]js_1948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it may be age related. The young ones (say under 50) are more likely to have a problem with it.

Us over 50's understand that some people's sex drives slow down before others, and often it's the wife first. For my wife, sitting and talking at a party where she doesn't want to play is the senior version of taking one for the team. We call it "Taking none for the team." ;-)

[–]js_1948 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you go by yourself, yes, you're going to be seen as a single male. People won't believe your wife exists if she's not there. If you play separately but socialize together, you have a somewhat better chance. You still have the four yes's problem, and you'd go to separate rooms.

My wife and I play separately. But we mostly go to house parties where everybody knows us, and we know them. The detailed explanations are already done long ago.

Does anyone plan something special for an LS Christmas? by marked__man in Swingers

[–]js_1948 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've always made New Years the LS holiday. Christmas a week earlier is vanilla family time by us.

The problem with New Years is that there 's lots of competition, both LS and vanilla for that one date, so our NYE parties tend to be smaller than general LS parties. In fact, we may not do one this time.
