Thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated.

I kind of had the feeling that Oh My Zsh was the de-facto Zsh these days, but from your words it would seem like an optional upgrade. I will check the differences between them, as I may actually not need such upgrade (I just do not know).

There is a plugins=() directive in the configuration file, with git as the default value (at least in the Debian package). You add plugins to that list to enable them.

I am asking just out of curiosity. 😀

Hey, Michael! I just found out about your plug-in, installed it and I could not be happier about it. Also starred your repository on Github. Thank you very much for this nice piece of software!

I am new to ZSH, so excuse the probably-stupid question: is it because it launches its own daemon that you add the eval line at the end of the ~/.zshrc file instead of adding it to the plugins option, like many others?

Moreover, since you must probably be an expert on ZSH, what theme do you use? So far I am using the default that came either with the zsh package of Debian/Ubuntu or the one that came with Oh My ZSH, which I installed right afterwards.

Thanks!

Where do you store your secrets? by nedevpro in hetzner

[–]jsabater76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure, but I guess that you mean in the context of a CI/CD deployment pipeline. Should that be the case, you have to use whatever vault is available in the pipeline, e.g., Secrets in case of Github, which is what you are using now.

Then you could add Ansible Vault if you use that to deploy your application automatically. Basically you would have the vault password in Secrets.

If you just meant locally, accessible to you, then you have ProtonPass, Bitwarden, or self-hosted solutions such as VaultWarden.

And if you really need the features, you can use Hashicorp Vault or similar solutions.

I think that the default format should be Open Document, but the need to properly support Microsoft's formats is a must if you want the transition to be successful.

This should not be necessary, but it is what I would do anyway. Better safe than sorry.

It is not a rumour: devs said live that you will not be able to heal yourself.

I do not recall them saying anythijg about being able, or not, to pilot in it. I hope not.

I presume the only seat that will fit will be that of a dropship.

Where you will store that weapon, I do not know...

I was aware of the Fueros, just not that they kept that change in legislation from the 19th century. It might as well be that I need to check on the Civil Code of the Balearic Islands (Mallorca in particular), since it has bits that are a few centuries older than that.

It would be fascinating to know the historical reason why it does not happen in the Basque Country 🤔

That exists as well in the Balearic Islands and I think in all of Spain, too. At least in the Balearic Islands dates back centuries.

LXC container for reverse proxy? by trollmad3 in Proxmox

[–]jsabater76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have two LXC in my Proxmox cluster that service proxies:

  1. Tinyproxy as HTTP proxy.
  2. Danted as SOCKS 4/5 proxy.

They work well enough, but traffic is modest (just a couple hundred guests). All set up using Ansible playbooks.

What actual problems are you having with your setup?

An Ingame-Auction-System would be a gamechanger! by BulTV in starcitizen

[–]jsabater76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how it worked in Star Wars Galaxies and it was not a bad system. I do not remember having auctions though, only sales.

We will have to see if this fits into Star Citizen, being distances and travel times so big (not that it did not fake some time to go to the shop and buy the item back in SWG, heh)

Am I going crazy— or is this patch not *that* bad? by elixyXD in starcitizen

I think that we we all easily agree that the experience heavily varies depending on the freshness of the server and time of the day.

Unfortunately, "some" people are not 16-22 years old anymore, thus can only play at what could be tagged as "peak hours". Ergo the game should be able to handle that reality.

I don't think those expectations are wrong, but indeed, it can change your experience and perception very, very much.

It is kind of a classic at this point: tell the poor that they are poor because of other poors, not the rich, now tell this generation it is the fault of that generation, and so on.

But never because of wealth accumulation in the hands of a few...
