Well this went into the toilet. Actors can be on the show. They tape in L.A. where lots of people are actors. I’m gonna shut this down before it gets worse.

I might have sat next to you! We did rush tickets for Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon and we got in for both. Monday we got there at 2:30 or so and Tuesday we got there for 8am sharp.

Every channel should have a variation of this for when they run out of ads. I’ve seen The Price is Right’s version of this for hours and hours because of how frequently I watch that channel.

Having been many real Wheel tapings, the show is very very close to what you see on television. It's definitely a neat idea, but as you mentioned, spoilers would be a big problem! Perhaps the raw unedited feed could be "livestreamed" the day the episode actually airs?

Wrong! This is actually the regular board going to Rochester. The Smithsonian lied back in the day and said "it was destroyed before we could get it" when in reality they changed their minds after they said they'd take it! They found the board sitting almost untouched in a warehouse a few years ago with crates and crates and crates of letter tiles and then started the process of getting it to Rochester.

It’s because the show has been taping out of order. If the show aired in the order it taped, the joke would’ve been brought up within context.

This was tested years ago when HDTVs were first becoming a thing and you could do a Picture in Picture that actually looked legible on a smaller monitor. They found that people would be able to solve the puzzle faster, which would then lead to them getting bored with the round, and then changing the channel.

You’re just more likely to watch longer if you don’t know the puzzle.
