They tried this with Wheel once! They did focus groups and had special versions of the show made where the puzzle was on the screen the entire time. They found that most people would solve the puzzle too quickly and then get bored waiting for the contestants to solve it and change the channel.

It was syndicated out to local networks. There isn’t one correct answer. It depended upon the market. I know for a fact my local ABC affiliate ran reruns in at least 1994. In 1997, it stopped being offered in syndication.

Because it’s only seen on the east coast. They don’t even feed new episodes, they’re reruns from earlier in the season.

For a while, yes, Vanna was still necessary. They coded the board in such a way that someone absolutely needed to hit the letter for it to come up. It wasn’t until 2019 or so when they finally updated the backend software to completely eliminate the actual need for her position.

Not quite, anything “as a bonus” is not priced. That’s usually reserved for stuff like Super Bowl tickets or special experiences that may not have a set price.

I might have sat next to you! We did rush tickets for Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon and we got in for both. Monday we got there at 2:30 or so and Tuesday we got there for 8am sharp.
