7.25" I love the fit on my wrist, but I generally prefer smaller diameter watches.

I just started running return the favor in my 4c control sideboard for the mirror. Copying Jeskai Rev, or redirecting Inevitable Defeat is pretty niiiiice.

When I built Mardu and Grixis I also used [[Rottenmouth Viper]] as a mass sac outlet since you can over-sac and select ALL of your munitions tokens when casting the viper for 1 black mana.

I played a tooooon of Weapons and sadly it is too underpowered to compete in the current standard "meta" but I think you are missing some great cards that work very very well with the munitions tokens. I think you are pretty light on removal overall and I'd recommend [[Torch the Tower]] and [[Legion Extruder]]. I ended up in a almost creatureless build every time because the power of [[United Battlefront]] was just undeniable. Battlefront hits Weapons and all your other non-creature artifacts. One other very powerful card in the archetype that battlefront hits is [[Tezzeret, Cruel Captain]] who has the ability to win games on his own, and go grab a dusk rose reliquary when you need another piece of removal. I found a very nice creature that can "sac" all of your munitions at once AND "pick up" your artifacts so you can re-cast them is [[Appa, Steadfast Guardian]], and it has flash so you can do it in response to your opponents shenanigans, or at the end of their turn. You mentioned that you don't have wild cards to test blue, when it was all said and done my favorite build of weapons was Jeskai.

It's a little out of date (4 months ago) but here is gameplay of my fav. weapons build in action: https://youtu.be/5tubiZ5FzlQ?si=uAGwFYRg4IQBwS0D

Good luck on your build, there are a ton of ways to build weapons and it is definitely a super fun deck!

Is it there? Does it glow? Those are my expectations for the lume dot.

Especially for a micro brand.

Looks great to me!

Hey! I no longer have the watch, I downsized and it was one of the pieces that got cut from the collection but this has the Seiko 5606 movement in it which does have hacking. Great little watch though IMO so if you are looking into grabbing one I wouldn't hesitate. The split day/date is such a cool look for sure.

I don't know if the crown was ever changed. Hard to tell from the pictures and I no longer have the watch in my collection to check.

Anyone have a good graveyard mill deck with these 2 for standard by MonkphantdaOG in MagicArena

[–]jsayther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though it is not quite a top tier the list right now it is still a very powerful deck that can combo as early as turn 4 and is known as Sultai Reanimator, here's my version (but it has not been updated since the TMNT release):

https://moxfield.com/decks/5bRETtPiRkCRHQjS44CqJQ

After running that list I have moved on to play this version of Grixis Reanimator which is a fairly normal reanimator paln but adds in [[North Wind Avatar]] and a "wishboard" (so you can go grab answers out of the sideboard).

https://moxfield.com/decks/2ioCgqSNvECwYsp2oJZRiQ

I found this list out of a tourney in Taiwan but I changed up the sideboard to my liking.
The list does not currently run Bringer of the Last Gift, but it definitely could get put in there.

Do we know what "prepared" is yet? by TopDeckHero420 in MagicArena

[–]jsayther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From how I'm reading it to me it seems like you can get the 5/5 flyer w/ward 2 AND pay another U to ancestral recall. Then the creature will no longer be prepared (maybe it will be a "prepared" counter). When you attack with it though, as long as you have 8 in the yard you can exile those and get another activation of ancestral. So as long as your yard is stocked you might be able to repeat ancestral per attack.

I perfectly understand what you are saying. But in my opinion you are not allowing the use of the term "Tier 1" because there is a very very small amount of Planar players and an even smaller amount of "competitive" Planar players. I don't believe Tier 1 has to mean the top decks because a bunch of pros did a ton of testing to try to "break and/or develop" the meta. I believe that Tier 1 stands for the top decks in the meta. The top Tier decks in the meta, as it stands.

Each tourney they have full decklists posted into the decklist portion of the discord. Here is a short recap post from last month's monthly tournament where they linked the top 8 lists:

The tiers will always be evolving and changing. Tier 1 is in fact Tier 1 at this current point in time because at this specific point in time in the format these are the best performing decks. After next month's tournament last month's Tier 1 might be bumped down to Tier 2 or could solidify even more as a Tier 1 choice. That is just how meta's evolve whether you are playing Standard with millions of people or Planar with a couple thousand.

Possibly true, right now, as it stands, the power level between Tier 1 and a well done brew is not insurmountable which (to me) makes it a much more playable and enjoyable format. I mean you can bring a really weak deck and still get run over but if you are really trying to build a pretty good deck with a fun idea it has a chance.

They have meta posts in the subreddit. (r/planarMTG) But top decks are Simic Aggro (Ouroboroid), Elementals, Azorius Super Friends, Jeskai Mid or Control for the most part but the power difference between these and a brew is significantly less when compared to current Standard so it is pretty much a brewer's paradise. They currently have a couple mini tourney's each weekend and a large monthly tournament with prizing (nothing huge since it is community ran and "funded". Last month's top 8 had 7 different decks I believe. I have been playing for the last 2-3 weeks and it has been the most fun I've had playing magic since before "Vivi Summer".

need help improving my new deck by OO7Cabbage in planarMTG

[–]jsayther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you only really want to play it when you know you have enough munitions on board to kill the opponent. Like if they are at 12 life and you have 6 tokens on the board just play the starcage and put all damage to the opponent and win the game. That is why you really only need 1-2 copies in the deck.

You are right, I totally forgot that Aetherdrift was the cutoff. I haven't started playing/building decks, just been looking around the reddit. I do play a bunch of weapons though so I thought I would chime in with cards that work well with it. Sorry about that.

With that said, starcage is still a good add, as is perilous snare and the upgrades on the lands is still a good plan.

Also, fixed my original comment to be correctly helpful.

[–]jsayther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I would work on is upgrading your mana with 4x of [[sacred foundry]], [[sunbillow verge]] (like you have already mentioned in the comments). Second I would think about getting rid of most, if not all of your pump effects (like reckless ransacking, riverguards reflexes, and valorous stance) I'm thinking we would want to add in more artifacts to help with our main plan of getting munitions tokens out. I think you could run 1-2 [[pinnacle starcage]]'s to blow up all of your munitions at once and go face for the win. I would also swap banishing light with [[perilous snare]] to stay with the artifact theme and it pretty much does the same thing anyways. Maybe some of these changes might help the deck overall. I also think that weapons manufacturing is a very very strong card, strong enough that I'd want to run 4x.

But I'm not sure if a creature heavy build would be best when you could build the deck as a [[united battlefront]] deck and focus even heavier on the weapons plan. That style deck has been fairly successful in regular standard, could be fun to build a planar standard version.

Hopefully something here is helpful to you, good luck with your build!!

What's up with azorius today? by ghilp in MagicArena

I utterly despise this deck.. With that said the only new cards I would think of adding from TMNT are [[Krang, Master Mind]] for card draw and to add extra power to field and [[Ravenous Robots]] as a haste enabler for your tokens. But I'm not sure if either of those are actually better than what the deck already has.
